But the reason why the trouble went over to the football team is because the problems cited in punishing Southern Cal applied to the whole university and weren't specific to the football team. The NCAA chose to hit Southern Cal harder than they should have in football to maximize the impact of the sanctions on Southern Cal because football and basketball are their big sports. I've already agreed that was too much. I get why the NCAA did it, but that doesn't mean I agree with the decision.

Nobody from USC or associated with USC paid anything to Bush, and they got a 30 scholarship reduction and a two-year bowl ban. How the fuck is that fair?
