you get reset up to 100 basically, someone else can probably explain it better

Your total points never falls below 100 , that is, unless you go into Civil Disorder and resign.

As soon as a game ends or you are eliminated and your total points (not available, totel) is below 100, you get refilled to 100 total points. So if you have 80 total and 40 available and get eliminated in a game, you will be refilled to 100 total and 60 available. Now, if you ended the game in a draw and would have received 25, you'll ge tthe 25 your earned, not just 20. And if you ended in a draw and would have got 15, you'll still get the 20. It isn't added to whatever you earned in the game but is the greater of the refill or what you earned.

But, as was pointed out, if you CD, you lose the points with no refill, get a black mark on your record, and have to face the disdain of the community for being a quitter, so don't CD unless it is like an illness or emergency or something unavoidable. Quitters get a bad reputation here.
