And honestly, as far as I'm concerned, they can stay suspended. Did just fine without them, and Jarrett Lee stepping up to the plate his senior year and playing well after a troubled career is a wonderful backdrop.

@Putin: That's just Auburn (so far anyway). Auburn's shit and everyone in the SEC knows it. They didn't even deserve a preseason ranking, they only got it because they're the defending champs.

As for the SEC sucking, we've still got Alabama, LSU, South Carolina (who admittedly played pretty shitty, I'll reserve judgment there), Florida and Arkansas in the upper echelon of college football, and Mississippi State isn't too far behind either. Should still be a decent year.

The media needs to stop riding the SEC's dick though, even as an avid SEC fan (lol libertarian liking SEC) I'm annoyed with it because it paints a target on the conference's back for no good reason. I guess the days of humility and strength are over. *sigh*

Texas is a bane on college football. They've torched two conferences now because they think the entire universe is centered around them.

But the SEC is to blame for the greater problem of mega conferences. They started this trend of killing rivalries to join major conferences when they went to 12 teams and held a championship game. Ever since then every other conference has been trying to figure out a way to expand.

Also, SEC championship will be UT - LSU. LSU will win and go to the national championship. And the SEC will win its 6th consecutive BCS title.

And if it's not LSU, it will be Bama. But I hope it's LSU.
