I know there's a bug...

... in the alphabetical disbanding of units that are tied for length away from home SCs. They are supposed to disband in alphabetical order, but I don't believe they do. Does anyone know exactly what the protocol is, not what it should be?

I am currently engaged in the following world dip game - gameID=49579 . I, India, have just succeeded in defeating Pac-Russia. In the fall before he was defeated, he had one unit in his last supply center, Bangladesh. He then tried, in the fall move, to take Calcutta.

Anglo-French Alliance

Let me start off by saying that this idea was not based on any current game that I'm in. Generally speaking, France and England will have a hard time cooperating as allies for an extended period of time. Now it was mentioned to me that an English fleet in Brest would be a good solution to this problem/dilemma. What are your thoughts?

It doesn't look good for the NFL right now...according to ESPN, lawsuits and lawsuits OVER lawsuits are one the way as the Players and Owners fail to come to terms...it's still early, but this could draw on for a LONG time...my 49ers might be sitting on that 7-9 record for longer than I thought...

According to an ESPN analyst, if there IS a lockout, everything but the NFL Draft would halt in terms of in-league goings on, and even THAT would be impacted mightily, as teams wouldn't be able to trade palyers for picks, just picks for picks, and not even sign those draftees...

And that's not even touching on the PR DISASTER this could become (or, depending on your point of view, already is.)

On another note, though, this could always turn into a golden opportunity for the NHL and the MLB postseason to shine if the NFL DID lockout and miss games...though obviously the Phoenix Coyotes sale is ALSO messy (come on, Bettman, give it up, man! LET THE JETS LIVE AGAIN! 8-figure losses EVERY YEAR on the Coyotes part, empty arena, and TSN is rich and ready to return them home...it's OVER!)

The NFL is not going to have a lockout. There is simply too much money on the table for them not to figure something out. If you want hockey to come back (like I do) just wait until next year when the NBA has these issues. A majority of teams in the NBA are losing money and the league is in serious trouble. A lockout in the NBA IS likely and with the same season as the NHL, it could really be a boost.

I hope they do have a lock out. I hope the players don't cave. The NFL wants an extra billion of the revenue. The players should tell the NFL to go take a hike. No NBA, no NFL, perhaps America can learn to love other sports.

Viva la Futbal! "Soccer" may finally get a shot! Of course, just because there is no NFL won't mean no American football. We'll still have higschool and college, and arena may have a shot as well.

I agree. College players still have the drive. Sure, the best seniors are worried about their NFL future, but the underclassmen just want to make their opponents feel the pain.

I'm not sure there is a more corrupt sport than college football. As a Buckeye, it's a source of public embarrassment to even think about it at this point.

Well, Americans love baseball and hockey too...the National Pastime's really rebounded the last six or seven years or so, about around the time the Red Sox had that amazing World Series win...

And then California and Northern Areas like hockey...

But yeah, I'm torn on who to support--the owners ARE being greedy, but...I want that 18 game season!

I side with players except on the rookie wage scale and I think both sides should just agree they will both get filthy rich next year, and shake on it. A lockout wouldn't be all mad, my Panthers could get the No. 1 overall draft pick two years in a row because of a lockout...Wait...What would I do without Fantasy Football for a year!?

Fantasy Fantasy Football.

It's really bs that the NFL won't reveal the financial information on their teams, but yet cry poverty to get more money from the players.

Attacking lands with two coasts

Hello, I was wondering if it was possible (my guess is that it is) to attack Spain from the Mid Atlantic ocean and support from west mediterranean or gulf of Lyon since it has two coasts (I'm guessing it's only to prevent boats from moving from one to the other...).
