Who would like to join a 101 Point game with a 2 day phase?
I thought I might gauge the level of interest first.
Do people prefer anon or do we like to see the players names. I don't mind anon but if we play it that way I would prefer to password protect the game and recruit players from the forum.
The other thing is, what would people prefer WTA of PPSC?
Post here if you are interested, specifying your preferences. I'll create the game once there is enough interest.

No Stabbing
In a different Diplomacy site, me, and 6 other people played a game known as no stabbing . Basically you had to declare war on your opponent before attacking them. You had to announce regardless of if you had talked to him or not. The announcement had to be at least 6 hours before the attack, and 20 minutes before you finalize. Whos in?

Promises to Draw
A hypothetical situation:

Three players (who do not know each other and are not otherwise meta-gaming) agree at or near the start of a game to form a permanent alliance; they will work to eliminate the other players, then draw the game. (More)

dude it's getting pretty intense right now. I don't quite get what exactly Desmond did down there though.......

Anyone who watches Lost, in my inexpert opinion, has wAAAAy to much time on their hands. That show is crazy complicated.
urallLESBlANS (0 DX)

Maybe too complicated, but still very fun to watch. Too many unanswered questions.

Wow, that ending was incredible. After the beginning was so slow I honestly didn't expect it to be that great but wow, that was incredible. Such amazing writing, acting, and cinematography!
Thucydides (864 D(B))

Yeah it was good I guess.

They should have ended it with a cliffhanger. Oh well.

I was a bit disappointed with the very end explaining away the sideways world. Seemed a bit cheap...

I'm ok with leaving a few things open, but everything to do with the light and the island was still too vague for me.
Draugnar (0 DX)

I suggest we try not to reveal anything cause the West Coast hasn't seen it yet (well, they haven't officially seen it).
jman777 (407 D)
24 May 10 UTC
Well I just figure that if they don't want to see it they won't read it. =P haha I also was surprised by the fact that they didn't really explain it but the ending was really so beautiful and incredible that I cannot complain one bit.
Thucydides (864 D(B))
24 May 10 UTC
yeah... i guess so.

i was more in it for the answers though, from the beginning. thats not to say i didnt get attached to the characters of course... its just that there is a lot i kept on wondering and wondering

for instance why are walt and aaron "special"? that really kept me up at night lol

and what made desmond so important there at the end?

and that old lady who said to desmond at the concert "i told you not to do this"

i mean... blah. whatever its over. nothing more to say i guess.

someone needs to post kimmel's alternate endings on youtube.

then someone here needs to find them and link them. kthxbai

Eh, it was pretty good. I'm a bit confused about the ending though.

**PLOT SPOILER***
As far as I could tell, the safely landed universe was basically a happily ever after one. While the plane crash wasn't so happy. And the ending (credits, showing the original (?) plane crash) seemed to imply that ALL the survivors were dead... so, I'm confused.

**PLOT SPOILERS DONE**
Draugnar (0 DX)
24 May 10 UTC
You didn't see any bodies in the credits. The crash happened and they survived, but the sideways universe was a universe their spirits collectively put together because these people were important to each other. As Christian (Jack's dad) said, some died before others and there is no "time" in the everafter.

Fuck off, hellalt. If you have nothing constructive to say, your opinions aren't welcome.
hellalt (24 D)
24 May 10 UTC
constructive?
yeah, as if a show where a bunch of morons run around an island killing each other and trying to explain stupid unexplained to the end secrets is a very constructive script...
Lost is just stupid.
People that have been fans for ages are really disappointed with the uncreative, slow, repeating and unimaginative way that it FINALLY ends and really most of them are ready to sue for the time aka money they lost watching this crap.
Lost insults my intelligence.
Lost is so stupid that it could only be American.
Prison Break is so clever that it could only be American too.
Watch the latter.
Or Californication of course...

@Thucydides

The old lady at the end was Daniel Faraday's(Sp?) mother. She just did not want to see her son "pass on" like Jack and the rest of the cast were about to. That is why she asked Desmond if he was taking her son with him. She knew that desmond was bringing everyone together at the concert so that they could remember and pass on.

And I can't answer the other two questions you have. I think those were left open....

Desmond was special cause he could affect the 'light pool' without dying (he can handle the electro-magnetic bursts).
Draugnar (0 DX)

I liked that Daniel got to spend some more time in the side world with the hot red-head (I can never remember her name) and that he would pass on later, presumably with hot red-head. Hugo had plenty of time with his love in the side world so the two of them could pass on with the rest, but Daniel had just discovered her and hadn't had a lot of time with her on the island as they were time jumping. I'm guessing Ben's additional penance will allow him to guide the two of them over.

Of course, there is a chance for a new cast and a "Lost Two" show but the twists and secrets have been given away. Loved the whole Hugo/Ben exchange near the end.
