The bolded names went away too. We must have faith that there are reasons for this lol.

It's pretty much done, now working for Diplomacy/Retreats/Unit-placing, submissions are done via ajax instead of refreshing the page, server-side changes have been made to make things easier on the server, etc, all much more solid than before.
95% complete, whereas the previous version was just a new layer on the old form to test out the idea this next update should complete it :-)

As for text bolding I didn't think it was worth the extra server load to search through all posts as they are displayed looking for names, but it might come back as a javascript, it didn't work as well as I thought anyway

so... will we get the auto-updating back? because i really really liked it. It makes five minute phase games much much better.

Also, just my two cents, but I think the terms "update" and "finalized" are clearer and nicer terms to use for those commands. "Saved" and "locked" just seem awkward.

I agree - can you change it back to "finalized" not "locked"?

Save can be acceptable...but finalize is better than lock. Maybe also "confirm" or "ready" is ok...

Can't wait for the system. Even the test was great. I agree that "Finalized" is much better though "Save" is as good or better than "Update". Either way though the new syatem rules.

phpdip is pretty sluggish right now, anything related to this?

I prefer "Save" over "Update", especially for the new auto-updating boxes. Somewhat neutral on "Lock" versus "Finalize", but lean towards "Finalize".

Re: Old vs new button names there's another thread on that, but based on how much people hate website changes, how few people hate this change, and how many people were confused by the old names I think the new names should do fine. Not a huge deal anyway, right?

No, but I think 'lock' (and to a lesser degree also 'finalize', for that matter) give an air of irreversibility to imputing your orders. I like "ready", as Wolf89 suggested above. Where is that thread, by the way?
