Advice, Please?

This is unrelated to my thread "Liberals"
I'm Germany. I've moved into Tyrolia, and I can't decide who to attack. Austria or Italy? I have already taken hostile action towards Austria, but I think I can smooth things over with him. I also know of several countries who would be interested in helping me against Austria. Furthermore, Austria has taken hostile action towards Italy. Austria would be interested in forming an alliance to take down Italy. Who should I side with?

i don't think the new player is honour bound to keep previous agreements. i think of he replacement power from CD as a palace coup.

CD or not, you must admit that the stab was a very good one, and definitive too.

I think he has put himself in a position where it is very likely he'll win. Most players in this site would have done it even if they where the ones to forge the alliance in the first place.

I assume the "good job dude" comment was for your ally who went CD - cause he's the one that screwed you, not the new guy.

I don't really see where he could have gone CD though - he never missed an order phase, I assume he missed a retreat and placement phase in Autumn?

No, i'm talking about the fact that my previous ally missed ONE turn, which shouldn't throw you into CD, at all, especially not in a 12 hour game. Then he goes and dishonors an agreement, which is stupid to begin with, without talkinga bout anything.

Whatever. Still a shit move.

I'm not sure, I don't think he should have been set to CD for missing one turn unless he only had one unit left. If you have a full set of units I think you have to be away for three phases

3 phases could still be only 1 set of moves... Indeed, you can go for 4 with just on movement phase (retreat,move,retreat,build for example)

Still, that type of stab is something you have to live with. Admittedly it's harder to predict than your main ally, although as soon as someone takes over a nation you can expect them to look for their immediate gain. After all, why else would they have paid to take over a country?

Isn't if you miss two phases you go into CD, unless you only have one unit, in which case, you can only miss one phase before entering a CD state.

I never said it wasn't fair, so thanks for that retarded comment on being fair Chrispminis. I said it was a shit move, and that CD should take longer.

I'm not upset at the movesets, it was a solid move, i was depending on him far too much, but now I could juts help Turkey start fucking him over, it was a dumb move if nothing else.

The previous England did in fact miss three phases. Flashman took over at a great time and is pounding you. Had you started attacking England when he stopped moving you would have been in a better position.

Can you disrupt a convoy the place that you are occupying. For example, if you want to convoy Ankara to Sevastapol via Black Sea, and fleet Sevastapol attacks Black Sea, what happens?

Post bug

I posted a couple of months back that I occasionally would make an in-game post and it would disappear instead of being posted. It was suggested to me that it was due to having multiple windows open. I may know better what is the problem.
