Advice, Please?

This is unrelated to my thread "Liberals"
I'm Germany. I've moved into Tyrolia, and I can't decide who to attack. Austria or Italy? I have already taken hostile action towards Austria, but I think I can smooth things over with him. I also know of several countries who would be interested in helping me against Austria. Furthermore, Austria has taken hostile action towards Italy. Austria would be interested in forming an alliance to take down Italy. Who should I side with?

wow - didn't even try to disguise or nothing - won a WTA game in 1901 by being the only player to move - everyone else went CD, and they were one hour phases - that's about the quickest 600 point gain you can make, I'm guessing

So what do people think? It mostly looks like his active games are legit (further investigation to follow). Would it be a fair penalty to strip all of his points? only strip winnings from the cheated games? or a complete ban?

He cheated in three games, from the looks of things. Banning is probably on the cards I think. It depends how hard you want to crack down though.

I think this should be a complete deletion/ban yes.
Otherwise people will feel happy to cheat knowing only the cheated games will be cost. If cheating can cost you everything then they should be rather more reluctant to try it.

I would suggest stripping the account of all points, but not banning. For me, this is less serious than multi-accounting in games with other people (playing with two/three countries in the same game where other players are involved), as it affects points but it does not spoil other people's games.

How about another moral question. What if a very respected member of the community was discovered to have cheated a long time in the past with multiple accounts in a couple of their games, but have since reformed and played impeccably, rising through the ranks on their own merit and earning the respect of their peers through politeness and overall skill. Would you have the mods ban the player in question or simply take off the points won through the tainted games?

Say X games have been played by multi accounting. I would strip X wins from the log (for this is to date the best indication of a player skill) and the X biggest pots ever won by the player (because the crime must be less convenient than the straight play or else there is no incentive for being fair).

The second point can of course be reached also with other methods, as taking away all the wins done by multi-ing + 30% of the remaining points, or similar.

TTT - another thread was just started about this, something should be done for sure. He doesn't appear to have cheated other players, just the point system itself. kind of a grey area.

I've banned the the throwaway accounts. At this point Ruohan will not be banned, but the points earned from those 3 games will be stripped (which will reduce him to 0).

Can you disrupt a convoy the place that you are occupying. For example, if you want to convoy Ankara to Sevastapol via Black Sea, and fleet Sevastapol attacks Black Sea, what happens?

Post bug

I posted a couple of months back that I occasionally would make an in-game post and it would disappear instead of being posted. It was suggested to me that it was due to having multiple windows open. I may know better what is the problem.
