I'm in high-school right now and I want to get a degree in development studies and work in international aid.

For now, working at an investigation/business intelligence firm for (it's less interesting/exciting than it sounds, though still fairly interesting much of the time). Taking classes at night for a career change into IT (Networking etc.). At least that's the plan for the moment. We'll see where things go.

Stop taking the bait on things like that. If someone says that just don't respond, or make a joke or something. You only make things worse when you say things like "Retract it." It's the internet, people say dumb stuff and make fun of people, if you don't take the bait/don't take things like that so seriously, you'll find you get a lot less of it, and I think you'll find you're a lot less bothered by it when it does happen, when you realize people are just trying to get a rise out of you, and don't take it so personally.

You're welcome Sioraf, that advice is especially applicable to the internet, but really it's fairly good advice for life. At least that's what I've found over the years.

It's a small place in Ireland made up of four houses, 20 people, 50 cows, 6 fields and a golf course. In spite of being a quiet spot in the country it's only 15 minutes away from Cork City's most infamous neighbourhood. Anyway, enough about me.

Taking yourself too seriously is the surest way to make others not take you seriously. In both the real world and the internet (which is incidentally rather well-connected with the real world...)

I of course, never have that problem....
