Has a game ever finished with none of the original players?
Bonus points if it ended in a solo or draw that was _not_ a direct result of all the CDs / sitters / replacements.

I hesitate to post this, but i wonder where discussion will lead...
Is Gender socially constructed? Is there a difference between gender identity and gender expression? What other issues does this raise?

Why'd You Choose Your Username?
It's a decision we all make, and one we have to life with for the rest of our time on this site; choosing a username. Some choose their own name, their initials, a historical figure or even a reference to a movie or TV show. So I ask all of you, just why did you choose that username you have?

Going out to vote today...
...but is it a good thing?

In case you don't know; Ireland is having a marriage equality referendum today. Yes will mean marriage between gay couples becomes a reality, a No will deny them their fundamental human rights.

That's the jester role. I don't particularly like that being a win condition so I decided to make it a town role that gets an NK when lynched called the vengeful townie. Which is identical to the hunter role this game.

@Vash "you knew too much." Honestly, that was a big sticking point for me still suspecting you. The "I told you so"s and "all three are town" moves made me think you were too knowledgeable.

Combine that with some of the stuff surrounding the last RB claim (when I think the optimal move would've been to keep quiet), the Yoyo vote thing, which greatly confused me about both scum still alive, and what I saw regarding the contradiction between the attitude of voting for Yoyo over y2k with your page 35 attitude. From my perspective y2k offered literally nothing in the way of his defense, while Yoyo's defense, while not convincing to me, was something. I didn't really buy your explanation of the differing circumstances at the time either.

Regarding guak's assessment of the logic stuff I posted this morning. I'm not a morning person. I agree the logic is flawed on the point of moving the wagon from innocent to innocent, but at the same time, you had much more motivation to swing a vote onto Vash than from vanilla to a presumed vanilla.

I kind of like the idea of a Medical Examiner role whose goal is to stay alive to benefit the town, and town only get given the roles of dead players if the ME is alive. (maybe have two of them, ME+Assistant? If only Assistant is alive, you only get faction results instead of exact role reveals.)
DeathLlama8 (514 D)

GG all, sorry I couldn't help you out more. I like the ME idea.

Hellenic Riot (1626 D (G))

Fool/Jester is a pretty dumb role. There are many better 3rd parties than that.

ME/Mortician is an interesting one. Usually you have more than one of them in 'No Reveal' setups. It makes setups very scumsided though, so it's harder to balance them out. Oracle works well in a setup like that as the "one time you do get a revealing". Janitor too.
If we want to get real creative we can have a Necromancer role, who once per game can reanimate a player who was killed. Might not be very viable with flips though.
Hellenic Riot (1626 D (G))

You'd have to get rid of the Graveyard QT and stuff for that to be plausible though.

Fool is the most fun role ever to play and the worst role to play with.

What about the consig/stalker/mafia cop?
DeathLlama8 (514 D)

IMO orc:cop::jan:consig, so it might make this a bit scumsided.

An interesting option, but one that could crash and burn, are multiple scumteams.
Fluminator (500 D)

I always liked the mafia encryptor which allows scum to have day chat while he's alive. It's really powerful though.
ghug (5068 D (B))
28 May 15 UTC
It could be nerfed by only allowing other mafia members to talk to him, thereby slowing communication if he's not on all the time.
bo_sox48 (5202 D Mod (G))
28 May 15 UTC
If you're gonna do something like that, I think that ought to go through the GM. That makes it foolproof.
Squigs44 (273 D Mod)
28 May 15 UTC
I like when you don't let the players know the set-up of the game. This is usually how I GM when I play IRL. This is especially fun if you add some roles that we haven't played with or discussed yet. You really need a good GM who knows how to balance a game right though. It leads to crazy fake claims, new game situations, and blindsides to both mafia and town.
Hellenic Riot (1626 D (G))
28 May 15 UTC
Going straight to an open setup like that from how we usually play might be a bit far. But we could go to a semi-open one, where it could possibly be any of Setups 1, 2, 3, or 4, for instance. With small but important differences in each.
