NHL Playoffs Tracker--16 Teams Questing for 16 Wins--and the Stanley Cup!
It took until the last day of the season, but the NHL playoffs are SET. First round match-ups: in the EAST...Senators/Canadiens, Lightning Red/Wings, Rangers/Penguins, Capitals/Islanders...in the WEST...Ducks/Jets Blues/Wild, Blackhawks/Wild, Canucks/Flames. (Out of the playoffs...the Bruins and--YES! --the Kings, mwuahahahaha!) So, while everyone picks against my Ducks (I'm sure), we'll track the playoffs here...guesses now--who hoists Lord Stanley's Cup?

If this is really the school they are from than I highly doubt they would give a fuck about people glorifying genocide.

@yassem everyone who speaks spanish is a mexican immigrant, and all russians don't give a fuck about glorifying genocide?

Lol that's all quite offensive. Perhaps you should enroll in whatever school everyone is a part of.

The Mexican dialect of Spanish is very unique. My great-parents were both Hispanic immigrants, one from Mexico and one from Spain. They got into very bitter fights sometimes about how to say a certain thing because their Spanish was just so different. What was very interesting is that they didn't even teach their children Spanish. Not really because they didn't want to argue about which dialect to learn, but much more along the lines that they wanted their kids to be good, English-speaking American citizens. Because of that, I know very practically no Spanish, and I can't at all tell what dialect that post is in. It could be Mexican or from anywhere else, I don't know.

@TrPrado Indeed, however the immigrant comment is simply tasteless and I don't think Yassem the Pole is well versed in the dialects of the Spanish language.

You can't take the higher moral ground and make stupidly offensive comments. The trolling was dumb but so was this.

I'm not actually going to get involved in the thread any more than I already have, so trying to tell me things is pretty pointless.
yassem (2533 D)
20 Apr 15 UTC
Hah, yes, sarcasm is in fact one of the lowest forms of discussion, but it has nothing to do with moral grounds. I was just making fact that the same person was creating yet another account, in an extremely obvious manner, and for some reasons chose to speak Spanish. I wonder what you find so offensive about my comments - this will be a nice follow up till James is unmuted : )

Hello everyone, I just want to apologize for the horrendous statements said by @yassem throughout this conversation. As a polish, I am greatly dismayed by the actions of this (alleged) pollock who has shown considerable hatred and disrespect. True poles, like myself, do not celebrate the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising since to do so would be to express the same kind of nationalism that led to the Holocaust and I can't speak for yassem, but I know most poles, like myself, are very against the Shoah.

Censorship
While I violently disagree with everything YJ says about Christianity, I am aghast that we have gotten to the point now where somebody who raises substantive concerns about my religion, even if in a mocking way, will be censored.

Just a thought
I was sitting in my bed tonight contemplating life and had a thought. Right now thousands of people are standing in protest to police brutality while thousands more stand in defense of the officers in question; will the end of this be a lone wolf terrorist act which kills dozens possibly hundreds of innocent people?

Ideal Urban Planning
I was recently reading about some of the idealized urban planning by various authors, such as Fourier, More, Howard, and I read that two cities in England were modeled after Howard's cities outlined in Garden Cities of Tomorrow. Have any of our members in the UK visited or lived in Letchworth or Welwyn? Are these cities models to be followed, or is this just hype?

Bush v. Clinton, Labour v. Tories - don't vote, says Russell Brand, and so say I
Voting in a sham election in a sham democracy only creates the false impression of a democratic mandate. Suppress voter turnout, and show the government for what it really is, a disengaged plutocracy.
