Abge - my good man, I'll certainly give a review! Definitely looking forward to it. MY (dead) phone is an HTC One M7 -- which I was mostly happy with. AT&T bloatware pissed me off, and HTC Sense was cool for a week....and then...meh.....not so much. Phone was quick, beautiful screen, excellent speakers....but that OS....I won't miss it.

I agree about the bloatware. It's a shame such good phones are ruined by carriers and, quite frankly, manufactures as well. I had been having a good run with Nexus devices, but the N6 is a joke. Not too sure what I'll do when the N5 goes.

I was considering the Nexus. Slightly worried I'm caught up in the OnePlus hype...but...damn! Those specs, those specs those specs....<drool>

I would not recommend the N6 unless your only goal is to get the largest phone possible. It isn't worth the money, imho. I really wish they had just gave the N5 a bit of a spec bump.

Specs are good, but, honestly, phones are still so limited by their battery that they often give diminishing returns much sooner than other computers.

@abge, do you have an issue with the N6 other than the size? I rather like my new one.

The size and the price are my real concerns. More angry at Google for abandoning their loyal Nexus base than anything else. There are plenty of megaphones already for people to chose from. It was really nice have a quality phone that you could fit in your pocket. Aside from that, I think the price is outrageous, especially for a device that people upgrade every two years.

Have you thought about paying it forward? I know a lot of people have old pones lying around - now instead of bemoaning capitalism, the overconsumption and overproduction which it can lead too. Why not look at the bright side.

If you get out of the consumerist mind-set you can pay forward (gift) things to random strangers in need. (this assumes there are more phones, or any other product, than people who want them) So, if you get a free thing, and also give a free thing *you're not using anymore* to someone; you can start a chain of giving.

The internet may help find specific people who need stuff. Sites like kiva.org let you lend money to people in developig countries (and when they pay you back you can lend that money out again, $20 lent many times could hange many people's lives) but i digress.... People CAN be awesome (but sometimes they are not)
