I have to admit, i couldn't read the whole article. Really distublrbing stuff; and the series of failures is just shocking. I mean torture is horrible, i can only imagine there was a culture of dehumanisation in the CIA and a belief that they were amazing with all their technical solutions and psychological understanding of how to break people... Impressed with their awesome work. Like Nazis proud of how efficiently they processed the Jews - which i'm sure they did to better the world and protect their country... Just liket" the CIA.
