Honestly, to me 10 webdippoints seems to be beginner territory still. I don't even think most newbies will check the game style. I suggested going with a 25 point bet to make the pot large enough to pull the victor out of newbie point range ( <100) with a bit of a cushion. But really, 101

is the place where newbies no longer show up because they don't have that many points. Ever.
There might be some sharks joining the feeding frenzy, but that's not always a bad thing. You'll improve much more rapidly when confronting stronger opponents. I know I've still got a lot to learn.
You could also make the game non-anonymous. There is sometimes a tendency for players with fewer points to gang up on players with more points. Once the alphas are eliminated, the game evens out. And so, players with a big balance sometimes avoid those games because of that out-of-game consideration with respect to betting. That could be the way to attract intermediate players.
Or you could prey on the newbies once you see who they are. ;)
