Are your favorite nations the side powers, central, corner, west, east, etc. I'd like to know the groups of nations. I'm a fan of playing the side powers myself, how about all of you?
We did once in a f2f game, whennone prrson showed up half an hour late decide to play Switzerland.
He spent the entire time threatening to build the UN and tey to talk the rest of us into peace. He tried especially hard to convince France (me) to ally with Germany, who was his girlfriend.
My least favourite is italy, in large part because it is in between the two spheres. I prefer playing as France, England, and Russia because they are edge countries and so are harder to invade- England because it relies on naval power and so it's hard to attack right off the bat. France is nice because you're essentially guaranteed Spain and Portugal and has a good balance between Armies and Fleets. And then I like Russia because you have two areas into which you can expand to and you get the extra SC to make up for having two fronts. Turkey's also nice but it expands too slowly for me. Austria and Germany I find too volatile and just about anyone nearby can invade you.
Italy is great fun to play. Low expectations, and plenty of time to get to know your neighbours before committing to an alliance or two. Germany is rather fun too. Lots of options to play with.
Austria has the occasional entertaining seat of your pants game, but the odds are against you and your fate is more about luck than judgement, which makes it my least favorite.

Why did Jesus perform miracles? Wouldn't he be a much more palpable and credible figure if he *hadn't* performed miracles and just did *good deeds*? Another one: *why* doesn't the bible a) tell what we know to be true about the Universe or b) remain silent on it instead of c) say things that are simply contradictory to it?
