The weird ways of Johnny Foreigner
As you travel the world more and more you begin to understand that people from all nations and backgrounds are basically the same. Then, just when you're beginning to feel at one with the society you're visiting, you come face to face with a concept so bizarre and alien it leaves you in a state of open jawed incomprehension. Lets hear some stories of the weird things foreigners do!

Commentary End 1912:

Rule Britannia

Western Theater: This year clearly rewards England's shift towards more aggressive moves. This shift started several seasons ago, but the seizure of 3 French centers this year should confirm the ministry of war of its efficacy. In seizing the three centers, England made some discerning moves and has now jumped to the lead with 8 centers. However, I believe the move to St. Pete's with Norway rather than Barents was a mistake as it will cost him valuable time in pushing Russia out of the north. The devious Frenchman managed to sneak into Belgium after all. The German opted for more aggressive moves to counter the Frenchman which may have be cause for regret in the future. It will be interesting to see how England employs his new military might (both gained through new conquest, and freed up due to the French collapse) to acquire more centers and glory for the crown.

Eastern Theater: As predicted, Russia quickly escorted the Wehrmacht out of Warsaw. His continued trust in the Turk seems to be serving him well. His support to Tyrolia was a smart play and the Sultan is surely much obliged for this assistance. With the reconquest of St. Pete's, it is possible that the Northern Theater will be reopened. With the Turk's successful move to Tyrolia, Italy will find itself increasingly hard pressed. Will English be sailing from the west? and if so, will it be of any help to the Italian.

Commentary Spring 1913

The Collapse of the French Resistance:

Western Theater: Barring a huge upset, this should be France's last year. Tactically, France player a very strong game. Ultimately, he was undone diplomatically as he was never able to form an alliance with England or Germany. His move from Belgium perhaps accelerated his demise by a year (much to the relief of the Kaiser). I rather anticipated more movement from the English. While it is clear that the Northern Theater is a British priority, it is rather unclear what his intentions are for his southern forces.

Eastern Theater: I am bit surprised by the Italian's moves. Being unable to hold the two key positions of the Ionian and Venice, I expected the Ionian to be sacrificed. Instead, the Italian seems determined to hold on to the Ionian and sacrificed Venice in the process. The Italian has shown himself to be a patient and deliberate player and I'll be curious to hear the reasoning behind this move at the end of the game. As is, Turkey advances into Venice and Italy may very well find itself further out gunned next season. To the north, Russia made some significant advances against the German as he pushed into both Prussia and Silesia. It may have been more decisive if he had supported Galicia to Silesia with Bohemia. A support into Warsaw was not necessary in addition to an attack on Silesia and a supported move into Prussia. As is, the the Tsar still finds himself on an offensive footing vs. the Kaiser on German soil. With collapse of French Resistance, this may come none to soon. Should the Kaiser pick up two more centers he may be faced with a dilemma as to how to place them and protect his beleaguered home centers simultaneously.

Northern Theater: The Tsar is clearly interested in a rematch in the north. His move to Finland opens up a number of possible moves and it will be interesting to see how the British attempt to counter it.

I think the forum and this game has run its course. Now that there are 2 alliances RT and EGI it boils down to tactics. From the board you can see what will be lost this next year and what won't be. Unless the people in the alliances decide to stab their partners the game will boil down to a stalemate at some point. The only question is when?

All, Barn3tt has contacted me stating that he has been hit by some real life things recently and shan't be able to comment regularly. I could do one of two things - find a replacement commentator unless the game ends, or, since I've snooped around and know with good certainty who's who in the game, I could contact one of those who has been eliminated and ask them to comment, without specifying which country they were, and with the same commentary rules as before. Thoughts from others playing the game?

How's this for weird?
There's this girl at my high school who screams at the top of the lungs whenever she gets frustrated or stressed out. Sometimes we're just working in class and we suddenly hear screaming, and all the freshman are like, "why isn't anybody doing anything?"

Wow. The New Testament actually spells out in the which commandments we have to obey.
Read Mathew 19: 16-30. And note that when Jesus told the man to sell his possessions, he was actually saying one additional commandment we have to obey: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. The man was putting his possessions before God, that is why Jesus told him to sell everything.

Please Help Science
I am entering the third year of a science research class at my high school and so far I have had limited success with my topic, cryptozoology. I mounted an expedition to find Bigfoot, but came up empty handed. In order to have results to present at competition next year I have shifted the focus of the project and I would really appreciate it if you could take this survey.

Kudos to Russia and Germany in this game. I don't believe I've ever seen a partnership work this well. When you factor in that there was no messaging allowed in this game, their alliance was literally incredible.

Obiwan and the TV Church: Attempting To Understand The People of the Book and Their Point
Well, it's a common criticism of me when I speak at school, on the bus, on this site-iif you're going to criticize the Judeo-Christian Tradition, you HAVE to give it a fair shot first, church and all.
So I'm tuned into "Uplifiting" on Dict TV: All Bible Study and Christian Church programming, all the time! (First observation--Christians can't afford better production values for their Holy Netowrk?) ;)
