All life is precious, Invictus, including animal life. So I don't know if you think my answer is correct or not, but I'd save the last mating pair so the species could survive. Plus, if I answer differently and my wife sees it, my life will be forfeit (she is an animal lover to the point of being a vegetarian).

my kids, i think it would be profoundly embarrassing, but not quite as traumatizing as vice versa. it would take time, but eventually we could probably laugh about it. a learning moment if you will, that i don't think could happen in the other situation.
