@Balduran … townies with guns should know quite well by now that their guns may not work and may kill them. Them acting like a vigilante instead of playing their role is irresponsible. Unless we have someone with a gun that is way too caught up in the euphoria of having a deadly weapon in their hands, the only people who would absolve themselves of the regular responsibilities of their role because they have a may-or-may-not-work gun would be scum. They’ll be lurking, waiting to see who emerges as a clear townie and making sure they aren’t under fire today so that they can use it as a weapon down the road when it is safer for them to risk their shot backfiring.
@snowy … I never said I was immune to early determinations. I just said that early determinations of me are useless. I didn’t say you couldn’t make one. You won’t gain any respect for it nor will it pick up traction because people know that a) I am hard to read regardless of my role, b) scum fearkills me as town, as is evidenced by last game, and c) if I’m scum, it will find its way out of my mouth at some stage. I appreciate that you look at me like I’m just anyone else playing this game but as far as reputation goes, I’m not.
As for me being old and wise, I’m surprised that you even asked me about it. Of course that applies solely to myself.
HR’s game is excellent. He plays with cockiness that gets people to throw attention his way, and then he uses it against them. If you think my game compares to his, I’m honored. I’m interested in hearing why Tom talked you out of the comparison between my game and HR’s, though, considering you openly admitted that you only had one short day of meta on me before, ironically, HR fearkilled me.
Could you elaborate more on DO? I wouldn’t be bothered by throwing some pressure her way with you, though I’m not exactly sure why I feel that way. I’ll reread her as well shortly.
@stupid … questions you find overflowing with ridicule are worth answering. Those are the questions you can turn against me. Those are the questions you can not only answer to defend yourself but also to investigate others. Leading questions, on the other hand, are ones you should not answer, but given that all I did was list out the possibilities for why you were acting the way you did and asked you to choose A, B, or C, I think you could have answered that one as well. Hopefully you wouldn’t have answered C, though regardless of what you answered I would suspect it.
I’m not voting for you, though. Lynching someone because they claimed scum is nonsensical. That isn’t to say that you aren’t scum dropping a WIFOM turd, but the idea of lynching or not lynching someone based on a role claim, be it scum, PR, or whatever, is dumb to me. I guess that is one of the ways my game has evolved since the earlier, dumber days.
[EDIT: stupidfighter is dead. All righty then.]
Likewise, Maniac and Ika jumping on your wagon was suspect to me. Voting for and focusing on an already pressured player this early in D1 is anti-town.
@Maniac, Ika … can you answer for your vote? Do either of you care that you’re pushing a lynch for a bad reason even though there are ample good reasons to do so (though maybe wait until later in the day)?
@Moscow … maybe I was too quick. I won’t argue with you there. Maybe the word “decent” implies less to me than it does to you. Does “decent” imply meaningful or does it simply imply that he is doing things the way he should do them early on? Obviously, as I have said, I meant the latter. Are we going to play semantics? Don’t say Oztra did nothing, though. He is a new player who made a read, justified it, and though there are obvious logical holes in his argument, that is something that I would call “decent” on the first few pages of his first ever game a hundred times over.
@peter … if I were the ghost, I’d be lurking. In fact, I would bet money that the ghost is doing just that. When I asked RHK that question, I specifically implied that the ghost will probably read your answer and refer to M20, which will HELP us find him. I played M20; I know the ghost was in that game. If I were the ghost, I would go back to M20 and read it myself, and that’s what I hope he does.
