@Tom I don't recall asking anything of you in particular. I made a side comment on how it seemed notable that the two follow up votes on a probable scum was made in such a manner which clearly reflected a pressure vote rather than a read lynch, and you latched onto it. Is there anything about this subject which unduly interested you? I'm curious why you chose to focus on that, rather than the rather lengthy remainder of my post.
I'm still wondering why DO claimed to have never played a game with me. I think her behavior is unusual to an extent (though I have more or less the same read on Oztra as she, though perhaps lesser in magnitude) and her unusual reticence is striking as well. But then people play differently on the forums than on discord, and perhaps that is the case here. There's also "Have people caught on that I'm really susceptible to buddying yet.. or?" What was that supposed to mean, DO? Actually, I very well recall that brainbomb accused you of this very thing when rivera latched onto your ideas, and you were firm in your denial of this tendency.
At the same time, it seems hardly likely that DO is scum. I very much doubt stupidfighter would've crumbled under pressure if its source were a bussing teammate, and Oztra wasn't even looking at him at the time.
@RHK that's fantastic, but that topic is long closed. Do you have anything about the game you intend to share?
Regarding Maniac: I actually noted him for not seeming scummy in this initial salvo - the more or less baseless out of the gate accusations is something I like to do in shorter games, and in fact this non-scumminess was so contrasting with his last game (where he was indeed town) that I was soliciting meta reads from those who have seen vanilla and scum Maniac in action. To claim that I was throwing shade on him seems disingenuous.
His analysis on SF and Balki also strikes me as poorly thought out and rudimentary. I don't know if such is to be expected of him, but one would imagine that after all the words which has thus far been exchanged that he would have a deeper analysis of characters than "I think they're bluffing." Twice.
Regarding Balki: certainly his behavior is somewhat suspect, especially with how he continuously attempts to draw the conversation into the subject of his alleged gun than examining the people in the game, but I can't really see any benefit to claiming a gun as scum. On the other hand, such is also true from the perspective of town, so it is certainly a bad move, and bad plays are not necessarily indicative.
He's certainly sassy.
Regarding Ikaneko:
His accusation of stupidfighter is, as he puts it, shite. While I also see SF as scum, to say that town would never fake claim scum in D1 is nonsense. His segment on DO isn't even coherent, and his final input on "Fat load of use you are then" - lynching useless town is not something I'm inherently against, but to use it as a reason to lynch SF here when there are so many other, better reasons to go with?
I'm inclined to think Ikaneko is bussing his teammate, seeing a lost cause. His follow up comments are also strange.
More later - I have to switch trains.
