Geo - I signed up twice, once in Tampa where I am, and once in Columbia, MD where I am 'from' and go once every 4-6 weeks.

from what i can see, there is probably enough players for a uk-ireland (western europe) meetup, and possible a central europe meet-up.

But also a southern regional event (in the US' deep south) and perhaps a west coast event.

I don't know how to promote a game like diplomacy in your area, other than getting some friends to play... i can see two irish, and i've been trying to get face-to-face games going for most of the past year, with limited success. (though we've played decent ancient med games, and a few full classic games too...)

Anyone have any advice?

I would say I live in both the UK and Germany and would be willing to play in both. A UK-Ireland meet up would be cool.

Thanks guys, I think this really has potential to bring us together more often for meetups and will definitely be useful when planning the annual FtF tournament.

That would be interesting to see, Benton's non-existant city hall. We are unincorporated. Not even a township. Just a fire district run by the county and policed by the county Sheriff.
