yes. but all the koreans are now in their own little island of diplomacy where you can onyl talk to them if you can speak korean. if we can find someoneto go ask them to form a team then we could have a korea.

I am in HK - that's Hong Kong not Hell's Kitchen. We have a lot of players here but most that I know are in exam mode this year or desperately trying to get a new business off the ground.

And definitely do not let Smart Jason in, although he could play a whole team on his own - possibly a whole tournament given the number of accounts he has and still does run.

A world cup would be welcome relief Flashy. We could definitely put together an East Asian team i would have thought - Sean/Flash/myself.... i'm sure there are others. otherwise we join with Oz for an APAC team.

If anyone has a working knowledge of Korean you could make an account on dip.xbsd.kr and rally some people come over here and join the east asian team

Greece is funky. Kind of Eastern European, but also kind of Southern European. And kind of something else entirely. hmmm.

I do know 4 swedish on this site, but also a Finn and a few Norweigan.
Maybe 'Greater Scandinavia' could join up! :D

Eastern Europe includes a political factor as well, a communistic regime.
Greece was never a communist country.

Perhaps Greece was never under direct Soviet rule, but I thought the Greek civil war was about throwing out the Communist government that took over post-WW2. Am i wrong?

Also, insofar as religion is concerned, Greece can indeed be lumped in to eastern europe, being eastern Orthodox (like Bulgaria, Rumania, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine, etc.)

In geopolitical terms, you are correct, Greece has been 'western', but as I said, the dilineation of Greece as western/eastern/southern is very unclear. As opposed to say, Ukraine or France, which are very clearly 'eastern european' and 'western european', respectively.

You can also divide Southern Europe to pure Southern Europe and Southeastern Europe with the latter consisting of Albania, all Former Yugoslavia states, Greece, Turkey and Cyprus.
In any case noone suggests that Greece is a part of Eastern Europe.
ps: Despite the Civil War conflicts in Greece between Royalists and Communists, never was a communist government established.

i would think that serbia's long historical ties to russia and greater slavic communit puts it more squarely in the eastern european category. and i think a case can be made that if the division is east/west (as opposed to east/west/north/south) that greece is in the east, geographically speaking. but whatever. it's all arbitrary, isn't it?
