Well, after some sleep, and ILN's promised response, I'm pretty unimpressed by it, but I don't think it's necessarily a scum tell. So, onto the next best lead I think we have at the moment. ##VOTE Maniac. If we can end with an ILN kill instead, I wouldn't feel poorly about at the moment either.
Blue-blooded Lizards:
Uclabb – Others had pointed out that something seemed a little off about uclabb, but I didn’t really see it. In retrospect he seemed to have been taking the role of the talkative scum leader, but I had him in Null-town territory before.
People who need to prove their humanity:
ILN - He's made promises, but has yet to deliver anything really substantive. I was in favor of giving him a pass on day 1, but no longer. Your *human* instincts had better prove themselves through *survival* instincts. And yet, the post you added today had some claims but nothing to back them up. No vote, no teeth, and very little for others to read on you. Not only that, but your reads themselves are inconsistent, listing krellin as suspicious, but PJ as town, and citing the same reasons.
Maniac - His slip, claim, or whatever, got put into the spotlight, and now we have to deal with it. For whatever reason, he chose not to answer the question I put to him about his strange bodyguard story, and unless Vash included a secret role, it just doesn't make sense. His end-of-night post raises some flags for me as well. And he hasn't sat well with me all game. But my biggest concern is that he’s been playing so erratically that I can’t comprehend it. His “band-aid” post can’t really help the humans, and I don’t see much in the way of helpful content either. He seems a bit like mutant scum to me, but he could be lizard scum too.
PJ - He's been really quiet, and he was pretty high on uclabb's town list for some reason. I don't know; he's more guilty by association in my mind right now than anything else, but he hasn't done anything that signals his innocence to me. He’s posted very little, and hasn’t seemed responsive to stimuli trying to get him to speak more. My least sure scum-read.
Needs more info:
bo_sox - Both krellin and I pointed out that bo seems to have two sides to him: the uncertain newb, and the certain crusader. But apart from that behavioral issue, which seems to be disappearing, the only other significant complaint I’ve had with him is pointing out the Maniac pseudo-slip. His reads were disturbingly close to uclabb’s as ghug pointed out, but I think we’ve got better targets for the moment.
krellin - If his claim was indeed false, then I don't know what to do with him. It's obvious he's not the mutant, unless he's signalling the lizards that he wants to work with them with a fake claim. Which seems pretty unlikely to me. I feel like we're sort of forced to just kick the krellin can of worms down the road a little bit and see what comes of it.
Guak – He seems to be in a similar position to PJ in my mind, but also appears more willing to engage. He seems relatively unafraid of suspicion, so he’s my most-town of the “more info” category at the moment, despite a personal suspicion, I’m having trouble corroborating it with actual play.
Potential Human Beings:
ghug - He's a strong personality, and I think he's taking charge a bit like PE did after he joined M2. He’s taken an interesting leap of logic onto bo_sox, though he tends to put more certainty in his cases than I believe is warranted. Still, I’m leaning mostly to the human side of the spectrum, and if he is scum, then he’s putting up a hell of a show.
y2k – He was pretty high on my suspect list in day 1, but after analyzing uclabb’s post-mortem, I think y2k’s pretty unlikely to be a lizard. Maniac seems to be playing that read somewhat logically. If/when Maniac bleeds blue, then we’d have to re-evaluate y2k along those lines.
Confirmed Human Corpses:
Chaqa – I read him as null because he wasn’t giving much more than jokes, as I recall, funnily enough the game’s actually had MORE levity since he died. Guess he wasn’t as funny as he thought.
CptMeme – Sorry he couldn’t go on, and sorry that there wasn’t a replacement handy.
Semck – Didn’t have much of an impression of him, same sort of quiet area as guak.
Squigs – misread him as a non-vanilla role
