As has been suggested, as a vet of diplomacy, I'd suggest you play WTA games rather than PPSC, as it is closer to the original game.

I've just come back to webDiplomacy after about a year, so I'd love to find a good game free of civil disorders. I doubt I stack up against the greats, though I have had the pleasure of losing to BESM, LanGaidin, and PlasticHussar. :P

I've never resigned (I always go down writing and fighting). So if you'd like to have me, I'll join.

I was just poking you with a stick, abgemacht. It was kind of funny how it mirrored much of what my earlier post said regarding points and the GR as well as other's posts regarding WTA.

Speaking of kids, my daughter is about to give birth I am in the middle of a game and there seems to be the ethical issue of drawing or canceling or pausing the game.

Live games should never be paused as you will never get back to them as a group. I'd see if they will draw or cancel for you. I assume she wasn't due today and so this was unexpected...

Sorry for the double post. Error 500 came up so I did the retry which double posted. I hate that error. You don't know if your post was successful and errored on the return trip or if the error was prior to the posting.

I'd be happy to join another game, but would have to wait til next week. The only thing is that I need 36 hour phases since I can't access the site from work.

Yes it was quite unexpected. I didn't know people on this site could be so inconsistent when it came to resuming games. I will know for future reference and just not play live games. I just don't have that kind of time to spend. My daughter is still in labor and we are happily receiving her second bundle of joy!
