LanGaidin, I should have thought about this when I put people into leagues. "Working hard towards a top three finish in the A league to regain his Premier league status" sounds much better.

How exactly were the leagues arranged? I'm in a C league while the Czech and Eden both have higher GRs than me and are in D leagues. Also, I was with TrustMe in the last D3 and he won, I lost and we both end up in C3. That doesn't make sense.

@ gman314, I haven't played in the leagues before and thus have no standing. It's my understanding that I have to prove myself before i can move up. GR and points don't matter. Everyone starts at the bottom. (At least that's my understanding of league play)

Ah. That makes sense. However, I should still be at the bottom based on my record in all one of the games I played in the last league season.

well, alot of people might have dropped out of the C league, so you needed to be moved up?

gman314, every season there is a number of drop outs that can cause people to be promoted that otherwise would not have been. This is especially true of going from D to C. And especially true of this year where there have been a LOT of dropouts.

Old players fill the upper leagues and move up as others drop out. New players were put into the remaining spots (bottom half of C level and D level) on a first come first served round-robin basis. I thought that would shake things up a little instead of going by GR or points.

idealist, you will play four games with the people in your league. You get points for winning and drawing. If you get enough points you will be promoted to the next level next season.

There are currently ten leagues in total. The Premier league, league A, league B1, league B2, league C1, league C2, league C3, league D1, league D2, and league D3. Three are demoted from the Premier league, and three from league A promoted. Three are demoted from league A into leagues B1 and B2. The three best players from B1 and B2 are promoted. To rank the players, the position in the league is considered first, and then the number of points and SCs won are used to distinguish between players who were in the same position in different leagues. That means that the two Champions and the better second place finisher will be promoted. The worst six finishers in B1 and B2 (i.e. the last three in each league) are demoted, and the best six in C-level leagues are promoted (i.e. the champions and the runners-up). Nine players are demoted from C-level leagues, and so nine are promoted from the D-level.

But this gives me an idea for a mini-league. Same idea except only 1 game then every one shifts. We could probably get 4 or more mini-leagues in per year. Hmmm...

It should be noted that there are often several people dropping out, so big jumps around and people promoted who haven't quite made it do happen.

i would like to replace someone in another league if someone drops out...

i only hope i can get in the next leagues with the 1 who ends best, but if i have to advance from C it's ok too...
