Perhaps the term "lady" modified who she was boxing, rather than giving her own gender. Presumably she does box other women. (Though it would be pretty badass if she were boxing men instead.)

I used to deliver newspapers back when I was in school. There was this one cute blond who worked there for a few years with her mother. She was about 5'3", and maybe 110 pounds. A worried on some windy days that she'd get blown over (our warehouse was directly below the Cajon Pass, one of the windiest places in Southern California), and her mother made sure she always carried a rape whistle when she was out throwing papers.

Turns out she was one of the top-rated female boxers in her weight class in the country. I didn't really believe it until the first time she took a week off and came back with a facefull of bruises. She sparred with the boys at the local gym and completely beat the crap out of them. After awhile she wasn't able to find a sparring partner (the boys all claimed they didn't want to beat up on a girl).
