Please include the game ID info in future. There was a bug in the pausing code, which is also likely responsible for games returning from pauses without any time remaining, and also it was sending out the unpause message for a pause event (the mod CP code uses it too, when wonderllama paused your game you got an unpause message there too)

Re: releasing 0.9x, it'd be more hassle that it'd be worth at this point, because of bugs just like this which I'd have to constantly redistribute. This /is/ beta software (and not in the gmail sense) and you are the guinea-pigs indeed, so thanks for helping out by pointing out bugs

jarrah; we use a share-alike AGPL license now, which came out came out after the 0.75 playDip uses, so I can give the source out and be protected

I just did update it, if that wasn't clear. There'll be some people who have paused games at the moment which will process immediately when they resume, but I think some thought that was the default behavior anyway and it shouldn't make too much difference, it looks fine now but let me know if you notice anything else

Considering the web hasn't been around for decades, I can't have been playing on their site that long, and I'm frustrated by the fact I know I could help and finally have some time to put in TO help, but only until late September when primary coding on phase 3 of my current software project kicks off followed by building a new datacenter at our new corporate HQ. Oh, and Ivo, your being responsible for 100 programmers impresses me NOT! I'm currently the IT Director for a midsize SMB and used to be the Global Application Architect for XOMOX's operations around the world. I had a hell of a lot more than 100 developers reporting to me, but decided I wanted to do more than code and set coding standards and the Global IT Director wasn't retiring anytime soon, so I set off to find my own position heading up an IT department.

First, I'm a hot head on here, yes. In person and in the professional world, not at all. This is a place to vent for me. Don't like it? Make a rule against it. Second, even if I can be a bit abrasive (not nearly as much as here), my skills and my demonstrated results carry more weight and allow me some certain leeway in the professional world. That being said, I was a developer for hire (aka consultant) for over a decade before deciding to get back in to corporate work after 9/11 saw much of the consulting jobs dry up. You can't be a consultant without certain people skills, and with those skills comes a need for a place to vent. It used to be alt.fan.james-bond, now it is here.

So, back to the unpause related shenanigans...

heres how the pause works (i dont know if its been addressed in this forum yet): when you successfully pause, it does state "orders now" but thats more of a fluke phrase than anything. it actually is paused (proven in a game im in).

when the game unpauses, i believe it resets the phase at the beginning time for the phase, not leaving it off where it was. voting to "pause" by the group unpauses the game as well.

I just want to get it out in the open here. I am not an IT director for a small, mid or large size company of any sort. I have no programmers reporting to me. As a matter of fact, outside of my (moderately professional) staff, the only people reporting to me are my kids.
I am also not a drag queen, as I cannot fit into any of my wife's clothing (she's only 5'2"), and I'm hoping to improve the size and stamina of my e-penis by ordering some e-viagra or e-extenz.

This is Kestas's free site, and he can fix it whenever he darn well pleases. If I don't like it, I can feel free not to patronize his free site.

And when Ivo tried to let you know that 1) he wasn't a newbie and 2) that length of programming experience doesn't necessarily imply intelligence, it was quite amusing how you had to have a e-penis measuring contest because you supervise more people that he does.
