OK, I'm not done my EOG and things are about to get busy, but I'll join. I doubt I will NMR or CD but my communication may be sparse.

I have an idea ... Next time we want to start such a tournament, we should search for players on some kind of online platform where one can find a lot of people who like to play diplomacy... If only I knew such a site...

i don't know if my knowledge of diplomacy is too low, but if not, i'd like to join as well. i'll definitely need a pause at the beginning of june for approximately a week, but that shouldn't be a problem i guess. how long do you think this will last?

I ll create the games in a few hours and send the password to everyone along with a copy of the rules for our tournament. The countries will have to be reassigned by the mods and the games will be pause afterwards. Since all of this will take some time, Raz000 will still have some time to finish his eog before we start.

Rules:
Standard site rules aply.
Participants will play 7 anonymous games (48hrs/phase, wta, 20 buy-in/game, full press) , and the countries will be reassigned by the mods in a way that each player has to play as each country once.
Games are paused after reassignement. As soon as this first game reaches 1905, we unpause the next game, and so on.

Pauses:
ALL PARTICIPANTS will have to agree to GRANT PAUSES if requested (with reason and duration of the pause). If you will be absent for more than 10 days in a row (longer pauses will have to be negociated with all the participants), please find a sitter or replacement.
To keep your IDENTITY HIDDEN inside the games, please post your pause requests in this thread or via PM to all the participants
A pause request counts for all the running games of the tournament.

Winning conditions:
Winner of the mini tournament will be the one who gets the most tournament points (TP):
Solo victory = 3TP
2way or 3way draw = 1TP per player involved
Survived or 4way, 5way, 6way, 7way draws = 0TP

Looks weird to me.

Defeated is not 0.5TP, it is -0.5TP
and 4-7way draws are 0TP because I think draws with too many participants should not be rewarded.
