WHEREAS, The peoples of the Aetolian League and Athens, Sparta, and the Kingdom of Macedon have joined their forces together and initiated an unprovoked attack upon the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt and the Island of Crete; therefore, Basileus Froggy the Great, the Emperor of Seleukeia, calling upon Zeus and all the Gods to favor his command, hereby formally declares the state of war that now exists between the Seleucid Empire and the Aetolian League, Athens, and their allies in Sparta and Macedon, and declares that all the forces of the Seleucid Empire will be brought to bear in devastating action upon the battlefield against the Greek states until their full and unconditional surrender.

Let it be known, that by the order of King Cyrus, first and chiefest consul of Rome, general, admiral, and marshal of all Roman forces, primate of all of Rome, that the people of Rome do hereby declare support for the Carthaginian Kingdom abroad.
While the juste and goode Republic of Rome cannot return Carthaginian homelands, the people of Rome support the existence of the Carthaginian Kingdom in its new form. The democracy-loving people of Rome hold that all nations have the right to exist in some form or another, and that the Carthaginian Kingdom has found a sustainable method of survival in its new lands in Egypt.
Any actions to remove the Carthaginian people from their new, deserved, and lawful lands will be seen as most despicable, and evile. Such actions shall merit the full wrathe of the most juste and goode Roman people.

WHEREAS, The people of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt were promised dominion over the Carthaginian territory of Thapsus in exchange for their assistance in the Roman attack on Cirta, but after having fulfilled their end of the bargain, the Egyptian armies were thwarted in their conquest of Thapsus by the treacherous forces of Roma, and, the province of Thapsus remaining in Carthaginian hands, the Carthaginian nation retained a supply center from which to pursue an attack on the Egyptian homeland, and, after finally providing the promised support to the Egyptians after great diplomatic pressure from Seleukia, the Roman Consul immediately declared that the People of Roma do support the cause of the Carthaginians and call the enemies of the Carthaginians their own, a declaration which should lead the Romani to war with themselves, noting the great Roman role in the destruction of Carthage, while simultaneously declaring the Roman support for the Aetolian League, Athens, and their allies in Sparta and Macedon, despite the prior agreement of the Senate and People of Roma to join in the destruction of the Greek states, stating that all enemies of the “Aetolian and Macedonian League” shall be regarded the enemies of Roma; therefore, Basileus Froggy the Great, the Emperor of Seleukeia, calling upon Zeus and all the Gods to favor his command, hereby formally declares the state of war that now exists between the Seleucid Empire and the Senate and People of Roma, and declares that all the forces of the Seleucid Empire will be brought to bear in devastating action upon the battlefield against all of Italia until the full and unconditional surrender of all the Romani or the end of their support for Carthage and the Greek states and their aggression toward the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt and the Seleucid Empire.
