If I were to vote for a lurker it would be Chaqa. Coming out and voting for himself and disappearing? No thanks, he's mafia or a completely useless townie. I recall him being way more involved the other games when he was town. Him hinting at how he's bored that he's a vanilla townie again I could believe, but could very easily be a ploy.

I'm willing to vote for potential lurkers - I could prob get down with either Chaqa or ILN based on comments so far.

I'm not looking for Captainmeme as I remember him being quiet before and am just asking him to poke his head up and join in!

I would however be uncomfortable with Krellin directing the the lurker lynch as I still see him as scummy - and this would give him an easy opportunity to direct the first lynch.

Alright everyone, long weekend and work early in the morning meant it took me awhile to catch up and post my reads. If I don't mention someone, it's because they haven't made a strong impression either way, so consider those null.

bo_sox - Generally town. He called out Warden's odd early vote against me, and has been pretty solid so far.

captainmeme - Only one notable post, where he analyzed my past playstyle and comes to the conclusion that it lines up with Mafia 1 and 2. Not town or scum, but he's been quiet. A bit of a lurker.

ghug/guak - not much either way. Null now.

ILN - up until one post he was pretty null. But then he had a post where he said "taking back my vote" or something, but doesn't actually unvote. HMMMMM. Slight scum -> ties with Maniac.

krellin - He's being himself. Not sure if that's town or scum. As usual I can't get a read on him, perhaps a cop scan target. I don't feel comfortable with a lynch on him though.

Maniac - MORE LATER

pjman - For no reason whatsoever I feel he's the mutant.

Squiggs - seems solid town. Lots of debating and arguments with uclabb.

Now, the explanation. Early on he voted for me to "put him out of his misery." Now, this is a defensive thought from myself, but why would he waste a vote on someone he believes to be a townie? Such a strange move from someone who was so spot on and guided in Mafia 3. Counter-productive to the whole "try to find a mafia on day 1" train of thought.

Later he says "love the concept of finding mutants" - ignoring the reptiles, or just a misphrasing?

On page 5 he made a long analysis post that said nothing. He basically went:

On lurkers: I think lynching lurkers on day 1 or 2 is a waste. Vigilante can always take a shot at them if he wants. Lurkers are not more likely to contain mafia than non-lurkers. Let's look back.

@chaqa - I agree that hedging can be considered non-human play. However in early game we have to be careful about picking one or two -ve or +ve traits and risk leading ourselves and others down a tunnel! where we don't consider the alternatives. If I think someone has 3 -ve traits and 1 +ve trait, do you want me to post them all or not?

My other posts have called out who I think is either non-human or govt employees who arn't working hard enough.

I'm amused that you, of all people, who has contributed so little content until just can demand that I "say something, damn it, and start skirting around the issues" you are the second inactive person who has accused me of not doing much. @Maniac: I haven't contributed a whole lot, no, but there's only so many new ideas you can come up with. Mafia 1 was new. Mafia 2 had the whole Google Docs debacle, along with vote trackers. Mafia 3 I mostly just tallied votes. I don't have any new processes in mind, so I'm making reads as I need.

Reasons why Day 1 Lurker Vote is best:

IF you believe that a lizard may be lurking, making the day 1 lurker vote is best because:
1. Every day 1 vote is a crapshoot to begin with.
2. Lurkers have no ties, and never will have ties, and therefore people are reluctant to go after them later when they think they have ties on other people
3. You can't rely on the vig -- he is not town, and has just as much interest in seeing town dead, especially if we get up on the mafia.
4. If we take a lurker vote and naila mafia it will be *much* harder, even now, for mafia to swing votes and protect. Non-lurkers getting votes are alreadt generating lots of vote swinging - so already it is easy to "rationally" swing votes and excuse them later on.

So there is an explanation of why a Lurker vote NOW. If it is true that lurker are no more higher % than non-lurkers, then I have presented other ideas why taking a swipe at a lurker now is still the best choice.

Just to put it out there, I would vote ILN to keep krellin from being lynched. I'm more confident of ILN than krellin at this point.

ILN - I made a *very* specific argument as to why I voted for "a lurker" for which you perfectly qualify. I have also made ready to give my vote to someone else willing to take up the charge against the lurker community - thus eliminating myself from teh suspcion of being a mafia manipulator.

You are *clearly* present around the community...and yet have no press. You are therefore intentionally lurking...which is a distinct characteristic of a lizard lurking.

You fit the bill for suspicious activity perfectly, ILN.

I, on the other hand, have ofered plenty of press, not afraid to offer a dissenting opinion and confront people on things I disagree with, have offered a specific strategy for hunting scum, and offered to forego control of my vote this turn to allay suspicion of my motives.
