The Federal Reserve Balance Sheet
Can someone explain the difference between Quantitative Easing & Credit Easing? I'm not getting it. I get that QE is pumping money into circulation by buying large numbers of treasury bonds, but how is the process different with this "credit easing"? It's still expanding the balance sheet, is it not?

Galacia suported Ukrain into Warsaw, while Warsaw attacked Galacia, it is my understanding that this should have prevented ukrain taking warsaw.but warsaw was taken as suport should have been broken.

The Second-Largest Power
Many people have observed that the largest power becomes a target for alliances to take down. This makes the second-largest power a desirable position to hold as it often can become the winning power. Builds can be withheld or centers not taken in order to achieve this position. Discuss below.

What things do you to keep track of whats going on in a game, from a diplomacy perspective... to work out the likelihood someone is going to "stab" (a phrase I am becoming quickly accustom with) you a few turns in advance.

is it wise to have a separate word doc open to keep track of whats going on with each country?

I live in upstate NY, so it's all Saranac or Genesee. Mainly Utica Club, but Saranac has a delicious winter mix out right now, I recommend the Lake Effect Lager.

I'm very partial to Trader Joe's Dark Mexican. $4.99 for six bottles of a nice, dark drinkable beer that is also great for cooking.

Trader Joe's has some good stuff. Can't beat the price, either.
I haven't had too much American beer. I like what I have had from Southern Tier.

I mentioned the Ontario beers in another thread - Smash Bomb and Mad Tom. Also, Red Racer from BC. Sometimes I drive up to Neustadt for their Big Dog Porter.
We're getting something called the Brooklyn Monster Ale in our Winter Release which I am looking forward to trying.

I like Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale, Newcastle and Belhaven Scottish Ale. Basically any brown ales and scotch ales. I like some Pilseners and Wheats too. I like the new Guinness Black Lager and Saranac Black & Tan as well.

For regional beers, I like Abita Amber (Nola); Middle Ages Highlander Scotch Ale (Syracuse); Syracuse Pale Ale; Elevator Winter Warmer (Columbus); Burning River Pale Ale (Great Lakes/Cleveland); Bell's Best Brown Ale (Michigan); CBC Scottish Ale (Columbus).

For cheap beer, I am a dedicated PBR fan.

lol I thought this said favorite bears....

Anyway, I'm a big fan of Yuengling, but they don't sell it where I live, so I don't have it often.

For beers you can get pretty much anywhere in the US, I'm a fan of Blue Moon and Magic Hat #9.

If you live in Western Mass, I'd recommend almost anything by Opa-Opa, especially their pumpkin or fruit beers.

Ha, Ohio finally got Yuengling this year. My wife's a big fan.

I love it. I have a friend who goes to NY a lot and he occasionally picks up a case for me. When I visit people way out in Western Mass, I occasionally can find it as well.

My go to 6 pack is Hoptical Illusion by Flying Monkey but I sometimes compliment it with a Devil's Pale Ale by Great Lake Brewery. Really, it depends on the season and what I'm doing/eating.

Blue Point Toasted Lager, Shiner Bock, Bell's Oberon (or any Bell's really), New Belgium Fat Tire, Paulaner Weissbiers, Leffe, Harpoon UFO, Rogue, Anchor Steam,

God I love beer.

Molson's Export Ale.
2ndWhiteLine, next time you're down South (around Atlanta) try some of the local brews... Sweetwater, Red Brick, Terrapin, they're all very good. I like Sweetwater's Motor Boat best.

Costco's house brand is also excellent. It's brewed for them someplace in upstate NY. They have a collection of IPA, pale ale, hefeweizen, and amber ale... 24 bottles for $19, and they're all very good.

There's a localish brewery called New Holland that made a Mole beer a few years ago...sadly limited production, that was the shit. Their Mad Hatter beer is also quite good, but it's no Mole. Oh, and for a great oddly fruity beer from Michigan, Shorts Soft Parade is fantastic.

Dogfish Head 120 minute IPA (US/DE 40 proof, does it qualify as beer?)
Duchesse de Bourgogne Sour Brown Ale (French, spelling may be off, its a sour ale, so definitely an individual choice).
Schynbrchoff Porter (Finnish, spelling is definitely off, best porter I've ever had)
Brooklyn Brewing Co. Black Chocolate Stout--US/NY quality varies by year, but a wintertime favorite
Racer 5 IPA (US/CA -- good, easier to find IPA)
Allagash White

I second the votes for Shorts and Sweetwater as well.
@sjrd - I had Rochefort 10, Ayinger Celebrator and St. Bernadus 12 and loved each. I find a lot of the belgian trappist beers to taste not so good to me, though.

@virtuslatin -dogfish head is a great brewery and I also really liked last year's batch of Brooklyn Chocolate Stout.

Anyone ever tried St. Ambroise Scotch Ale by McAuslan Brewing in Montreal?

Dogfish 120 min
Deus - Delicious and complex Belgian
Bell's Two Hearted and Oberon
Lindemann's Framboise (girly drink, I know, but its such a great dessert. Plus, a shot of Framboise in a Young's Double Chocolate Stout gives it a nice sweetness)
Mother's Milk Stout
Franziskaner Wittbier

Several of my friends make home brews too. One guy makes a lavender beer with some type of yeast that leaves the beer almost flat. Doesn't sound appetizing, but it is pretty good. It had some special name but I forgot because, well, I drank a lot. Does anyone homebrew? I just started with some guys I know. First batch of pale ale was pretty good, but we just followed instructions so really it was just that we didn't screw up.
I would extremely interested in homebrewing - is it expensive to get it set up? How much of a commitment is it? Would be a fun winter project.

Someone mentioned Muskoka Double Chocolate Cranberry Stout on here a few weeks ago. It sounds awesome but I can't get it in the US. Does anyone have access? Maybe we could make arrangements?

If you owned a company and someone said they would cut your costs to hire an employ for the next six months, but after that they would raise the costs tremendously why would you hire anyone based on a six month cut? This is exactly President Obama's payroll tax reduction plan.

Is this going to get me in Trouble?
My brother(The Man Who Can't Be Moved) without my knowing, decided to joing some daily games that I was in without telling me, 2 of which I believe are Anonymous, this will not compromise how I play the game but it is certainly aggrivating that I could get banned when uses my Laptop, is there anyway I can avoid being under scrutany for this or should I simply avoid it in the future?
