I hate muslins because the garments just don't stand up very well. Granted, they'remeant as inexpensive templates for higher quality garments, but I tend to be pretty rough on my clothes. I also live in a cold climate and muslin clothing just won't cut it out here.

yeah idk, I've never heard of that before. I was referring to the huge conversion (in the 1800's maybe? I will admit this is a subject I dont know too much about) of white europeans. I mean at this point what % of jewish people do you think could trace their family tree back to Palestine/israel? If it wasn't for the Muslims, Christians would not be where they are today. Most of the "enlightened" Middle-Ages (the birth of Scholasticism with Augustine and St-Thomas, for example) and of the wonders of Renaissance is due to them in one way or another.

Nel, a few people have made posts recently in other threads that have been very blatantly anti-Muslim. I'm just trying to understand where the deep hatred of Muslims comes from. Curiously, while a few of the inspirations for this thread have chimed in, none have bothered to answer my query.

I dont know, I just said as much. pretty much all I can say for certain is that it was in the last 300 years and located mostly in eastern europe or thereabouts. Theres even a name for it. I remember reading about it in like, 10th grade history. (thats not condescension or anything, I really do remember reading about it in 10th grade history, mr. bocian I beleive.) If you know more about it I would really prefer it if you could just share your knowledge with me so I can learn rather than turning it into a debate.

and to answer your question genetic studies show there is very little difference between jews all around the world. Until the one hundred years (more like fifty years) there was very little intermarriage in the jewish community. I would expect the % that could trace directly back to Palestine Israel too be very high.
