This Is Not Trolling!
God really spoke to me at church today and I've decided not to post anything on the forums anymore unless I legitimately believe it. For when I troll, it causes the rest of you to sin and I do not want to be responsible for that. Thank you and have a nice day.

The Free Market Working Perfectly
The government doesn't seem to have a desire to interfere in the book selling industry, yet.
So in the small portion of the massive American economy the free market is working by destroying an inefficient business model, Borders Books.

As Borders closes stores across the United States you can thank the free market for ending the misallocation of precious investment capital to Borders, and also for freeing up retail space in urban malls all over the country.

We can all thank our lucky stars that a relative of Vice President Biden or Senator Schumer didn't work for Borders or we would probably see a massive bail out package for Borders proposed in a prime time speech.

Circuit City-Borders, and the creative destruction of capitalism marches on.
It's too bad we didn't add Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, General Motors and a host of other failed institutions that are no leeches on the American taxpayer with no end in site and no reasonable resolution available.

"freeing up retail space in urban malls all over the country"

this is a joke right? there is way too much real estate for sale.

Thucy, once again you put your ignorance of business and commerce on full display.
Borders had locations in prime real estate all over the United States.
Those types of locations are always in short supply.
You "RENT" commercial space Thucy. You don't buy it.
My God you need to learn about the real world.

don't know that guy but i see him as a pretty big guy, like 1.80 metres, blank, blue eyes, nice suit and round glasses, like Ducos in the series of Sharpe, don't know his real name...

Here in my local city, there's still a Circuit City that isn't filled, and a Linens and Things that was vacant about 5 years at least is just now getting filled with a Dick's Sporting Goods...as the Borders next to it closes. The Borders that already closed is in the strip with the still-empty Circuit City.

Also there are many other examples of capitalism working that I am to lazy to mention.

If you don't mind me asking Tettleton, what is the point of this post? For the people of webdiplomacy to gather round and announce how much we agree with you, or just to insult people with different opinions?

It takes a special kind of man to mute everyone but himself. At the time he posted that, 3 of the 5 replies he could see were himself. Since he mentioned iMurk and Thucydides, that leaves kind of a wide variety of people for him to have muted. Sorry fasces, you're not in the kool kid klub anymore.

iMurky, since you are in to rhetorical questions, what are your thoughts on the Marxist-BigGovernment mob on this board that attempts to drown out any viewpoints they don't like with an blitzkreig of posts that bait and switch, make ad hominem attacks, present straw men, make appeals to pity, offer fallacies, and circular arguments.

Ooops, I'm sorry. It's obvious you aren't interested in that or you wouldn't have posted your own example with your own rhetorical bait and switch.

POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF!
Gone like a stale fart in the wind.

It smells better already on this board.
I missed you, Tettleton.

I won't be too lazy Fasces.
Take laser eye surgery for example. Insurance companies don't pay for elective laser eye surgery and the cost goes down. Why? Doctor's have to compete with one another for business. Does quality suffer? Sure there are quacks in the laser eye surgery field. The same percentage of quacks that are in other medical specialties, but in the laser eye surgery field Doctors know they can't rely on a captive audience delivered to them by some corrupt deal with Blue Cross etc.

The free market at work.

Ok, sorry with the 13 replies, 8 of which are muted, I assumed my 2 could have easily been on the larger list.

Excellent point TC. So would you agree in saying that its not private healthcare that is wrong with the pre-obamacare america but the insurance companies running the healthcare system?

However regardless, Americans were better off prior to Obamacare...

How about we move on to more immediate and demanding issues, like the government's tyrannical policy in forcing individuals to pasteurize their milk before selling it.

This is all Bush's fault. The War on Terror was nothing but a front to cover up his bastard pasteurization policies.
NINETY ELEVENTY BILLION WAS AN INSIDE JOB YOU SHEEPLE
WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!!!
Bush never made a mistake in his life, just like our hero Ronald Reagan, supporter of the American Death Star. This is all the doing of failed politician Obama and his socialist policies. You want to blame someone for the war on terror, blame Obama, he organised 9/11.

Fasces, insurance is a huge problem with health care.
Health care is a classic finite good. There is not an endless supply.
The only way to distribute a finite good efficiently is too create a system where the consumer of the good also pays for the good.
Right now individuals have basically no idea what the price of a medical service is besides their co-pay.
Individual consumers of health care have no incentive whatsoever to make wise choices because of this.
The people who make between $50,000 and $100,000 who voluntarily refuse to buy health insurance are completely aware of the cost of each and every medical service they purchase. They will shop around for a doctor using price of service as one category.

Whole Foods offers a model that attempts to institute pricing.
Employees get a health savings account and a catastrophic insurance policy from the company.
They can set aside up to $2,500 in the health saving account out of their check before payroll taxes. (The amount may be higher now)
Their insurance policy has a corresponding deductible.
If they make a doctor's visit they pay full price for it out of their health savings account.
If they get a prescription they pay full price.
If they have money left over at the end of the year it carries over to the next year and they can deposit up to 2,500 again.
Studies show that Whole Foods employees use less medical care than individuals on low co-pay plans where they pay $5-10 for any medical service or prescription.
We have to create a system where consumers of medical care do not use more than they need because they don't know the true cost of the care.

HAHAHAHAHA

Ethics question
So I was sucking some dude's dick in the rectory basement the other day, and I'm conflicted. The bible teaches that homosexuality is a sin, but I can only find true happiness with a hot rod plunged balls deep into my willing man-hole. How can something that feels so good be wrong?

I want to change, but I can no longer resist my urges for wanton buttsecks with random men. Can somebody please help me?

The trolling trolls initiative
Some people in this forum have now decided that the best way to combat trolls it to troll them.

As someone who hasn't trolled in 3 days and has tried to participate in political debates, this initiative has gotten very annoying. So I request that we stop it.

First game on webdiplomacy - do you remember it?
I remember mine. It was a live non-anonymous game, I was Turkey and smetha was Russia. I asked him if he has a MSN messenger or Google talk, so we can discuss our alliance, and he just stabbed me - with Italy and Austria. I was the first out. What was your first game experience on webdip?

How do I pause?
Sorry for the seemingly dumb question, I've pressed the pause button, as have a few of the other players in our game, but the time seems to keep counting down. Does everyone in the game have to click pause? Or does pause just prevent the turn from processing?

It's our first time playing on the site, I searched the FAQ, and couldn't figure out exactly how pausing works. Thanks in advance for the answer!

Cool-headed and fair debate is what made it great, but the recent influx of trolls and flamers and just generally ill-willed people have sickened the forum, and this MUST be fixed.

Post your name below of you're onboard; NO ONE respond to trolls who post here...give them the respect and attantion they deserve--namely, none.
