I've always been curious... how DO all you mates from the lower hemisphere manage to avoid falling off the bottom of the globe?

More to the point, how on earth do you choke down vegemite? It's thoroughly vile.

From Wikipedia:
Vegemite (pronounced /ˈvɛdʒɨmaɪt/ VEJ-ə-myet)[1][2] is a dark brown Australian food paste made from yeast extract. It is a spread for sandwiches, toast, crumpets and cracker biscuits, and filling for pastries. It is similar to British, New Zealand, and South African Marmite and to Swiss Cenovis.

Vegemite is made from used brewers' yeast extract, a by-product of beer manufacturing, and various vegetable and spice additives. It is salty, slightly bitter, and umami or malty — similar to beef bouillon. The texture is smooth and sticky. It is not as intensely flavoured as British Marmite and it is less sweet than the New Zealand version of Marmite.

Considering he was given a vegemite sandwich, it doesn't sound all that hard.

Australians have hairy feet which sticks vegetation underfoot a bit like velcro. In cities the beer liberally spilled by drunken ockers dries to a sticky coating that serves a similar purpose. In an emergency vegemite can be spread over your feet to create a similar bond. The Aussie greeting "G'day mate" questions the other person as to conditions underfoot, specifically have they "mated" that is got a grip on the ground. Aussies who have mated well are said to "have had a good root".

New Zealanders mate with sheep because the wool helps the sheep grip the ground v

An Englishman wanted to become an Irishman, so he visited a doctor to find out how to go about this. "Well" said the doctor, "this is a very delicate operation and there is a lot that can go wrong. I will have to remove half your brain". "That's OK" said the Englishman. "I've always wanted to be Irish and I'm prepared to take the risk".

The operation went ahead but the Englishman woke to find a look of horror on the face of the doctor. "I'm so terribly sorry!!" the doctor said. "Instead of removing half the brain, I've taken the whole brain out". The patient replied, "No worries, mate!!"

An American tourist was brought into an Australian hospital after an auto accident. When he regained consciousness he asked, "Was I brought here to die?"
"No," said the Australian nurse, "you were brought here yesterdie."

I love Australians. :)

The real question, however, is how do we in the northern hemisphere avoid falling off the globe?

De Gaulle, the only reason your countryside population is so small is because while we mate the normal way in India, y'all obviously have an affinity for sheep, which would explain the domestic wildlife population down there.

De Gaulle. You are an idiot. You accuse Americans of the bashing but, so far, not a single "Yank" (your word fuckhead) has bashed. So either apologize to the innocents you so cussed out or go fuck yourself.

Who hates Americans and Why?t
I hate them because not only are they an interfering bunch and war mongerers, but also because they are loud mouths, can hear them from Oz with their loud talk, but they are arrogant, more than the french, and pompous... that's for starters

Pause please?
To everyone playing this game http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=31461, I would like to ask for a pause. I'm going away for the weekend and will be back approx Sunday 9 am AEST (Saturday 11 pm GMT). Please don't flame me as I can't ask this in game as it is a gunboat, and I would rather the players decide than ask for a moderator to do it which could leave some players confused.
