Yeah, yayager. Probably one night a week. We would host it at different levels like the main league of this site, and each level would probably be on a different day. All I need is enough people to go forward, and then I would be able to make a schedule. All we REALLY need is 8 or 9 players (so that we have a backup or 2 if the initial 7 don't show up) then I could plan forward.

Sounds like hell to organise, but perhaps we've got the community to do this now. Good luck.

If you say this idea is interested, does that mean I can count you in? If you want to be put on the list, simply say "put me on the list" please. This would help me to sort out those who are interested from those who are going to play.

With a global community, how would you define night? I think you'll find this way more of a challenge than you realize as the US/Canada folk might be available at 9 Eastern, but that puts Europe at 2 AM or later. Conversely, You might get the Folks in Europe in at 9PM in Germany, but that is as early as noon in California.

I think he withdrew after realising that you do actually have to do some work at some point if you want to become the greatest mathematician the world has never seen.

I decided to withdraw this time around for the twin reasons of time and that it did last season cause trouble for me, being in a league I also run.

So far I've got 2 emails. Once again I need everyone interested to send an email to [email protected] so that I can send you the game password when it's made. When I have a full list for the first game in this league, I can start to organize it.

No that won't be a problem redcrane. If you're not in the first league, there will be others. There will probably be an A and B and so forth like ghost has his set up.

2. How might we manage times? (Regional divisions, maybe?)

Regional divisions might be the way to go, but as I don't have enough players so far, it doesn't look likely. I'm thinking that we might have the first league game on a sunday at about an hour and 15 minutes forward from this post, for whatever time that would be for anyone in the world... And we'll see how that works. I understand it'll be hard for everyone to make it, so we might also allow 2-man teams to enter, so that if one isn't present the other could be.

I've had an argument presented to me about Saturdays "I don't want to waste a saturday night in playing diplomacy" which is valid. I'm not sure how many people would agree to that... But then again, not everyone HAS to be a part of this, and not everyone will be. My first choice, actually was Saturday, and my second choice would have to be Sunday, PERSONALLY. That being said, I don't think there's going to be a day that we can unanimously agree on, but I think Saturday is a day most people have free to do as they please with.. Same with Sunday, though I'm not sure how much (if any) of this community goes to church.

This should bring out some participants (that want to decimate me! lol). I'm game.

That means that I have 7 definitely for the league. We need a couple more so that we can be sure to have 7 on the day/time of the game. Otherwise we'll end up having to fill the seat with someone from outside the league, which is no good.
