each game will have one rep. from the country team. You will play the same people twice. in order to move on in the tournament you will have to of had the most supply centers out of the two games. each supply center will be worth ten tournament points. and each game will be WTA for diplopoints. any questions?

Why is the tournament scoring with PPSC, but the points with WTA?

We should make it PPSC becuase that changes the tone of the game because in WTA the goal might be winning but to win the tournament you don't need a win

i think how i described it was taken wrongly. the point per supply center is not for the diplomacy points each user gets. rather the tournament points i will issue as a way of keeping score in each round.(10 per supply center) the game could still be winner takes all

A Brazilian showing up. Actually, I though of making a Portuguese-Brazilian team [Portuguese speaking], since we don't have neither seven brazilians nor seven portuguese actively playing here.

Anyway, don't you think WTA style as the tournament's scoring system would be better? I mean, in a competition you're supposed to win, or try it with all resources you have, rather than drawing.

yes WTA is the plan but nobody is understanding me when i say how people move to the next round is based upon how many suipply centers they got out of two games. for example if i got 12 supply centers one of those games i would get 120 tournament points. the next game against the same people say i got 5 supply centers. Then i get 50 tournament points. who ever got the most tournament points in those two games moves to the next round.

So you mean if a guy survives a game with 14 sc's and the 2nd game with 12sc's...
the 1st game was won by guy #2 and the 2nd game by guy #3...
guy #1 has more sc's in the end than any of the winners (#2 and #3) but he didn't win any game... he id the one who goes to the next phase?

yes. if the player got the most supply centers out of the two games. he would go on. this helps when it comes to draws. if a player wins the game he should get a set amount of points for winning. that i still have not decided

in that case I can't agree with it...
the purpose of that system is not to win, but to get SC's...very different and not the objective of diplomacy game I think.

Why don't you use the same system TGM uses in the leagues...i think it works just fine

but they would want to win because they would get 180 tournament points plus another amount of points that is yet to be determined for winning

i'm thinkign the number of tournament points will be 50 plus the 180 for the supply centers they get. so if they win that will be very beneficial.
