Excellent live WTA game

Anonomous games

I am too paranoid to have multi's or meta's in a game that I am joining that already has 3-4 newly joined players. If I make the game it's fine but they never fill lol. Tell me my level of paranoia lol this game is worse than how THC is portrayed.

Not for cry babies

New game, for grown ups only people who sulk when stabbed, cry like babies if things don't go their way and take 24hrs to disband a unit when they have no other options need not apply. You know who you are.....

Early phase change?

Did the system change to where if everyone finalizes, the next phase is automatically started? Even just yesterday I thought that even if all 7 players finalized, we still had to wait out the last few minutes (in a 5 minute/phase Live game).

Today on the Help->FAQs the topic about faster phases was removed and I saw something in there about how it would automatically end the phase early if everyone's finalized.

Strange Bug...

A few minutes ago I logged in and checked my in-game messages. I had three messages, clicked on the games, and read them all. Then I left and came back a few minutes and the envelope was there for the games again. I checked them, and it hadn't recorded that I had read the messages I read.

Maybe this is just a one time glitch, and if it is, I'm sorry.

yeah i would like to join,
i read the thing on your site, Ghostmaker, i don't really understand how the gameplay actually progresses though, if you could explain that, it would be much appreciated.

i would start in E league then? or... what? on the site it mentioned C1 C2 and so on but here i see only A B C D... lol. To be honest I never paid any attention to this until now.

Thuc: you play 4 games against the same 7 people in a league. You are then scored as per in the website, and depending on how you do, stay in the same league level, get promoted or get relegated.

There are currently 5 league levels, Premier, A, B,C and D. A fifth, E, might be added.
B, C, D and E are split into more than one league, so that people can rise to the top more quickly after joining. Hence C1, C2 and C3 etc. they are the different C-level leagues.

I've got to sleep now, I'm sure current players will help by answering questions. :)

The list above only has enough people in the D level for 2 and 4/7ths D level groups. With 4

level groups, that leaves room for 10 more people at the D level before an E level (or additional D group) would need to be added.

That was supposed to be "four D level groups" but I used the number 4 instead of word 4 so the D got changed to the diplomacy point symbol.

It's a fun tourney, as a sort of meta-gaming within the tournament games themselves is not actually disallowed; i.e. the tournament standings definitely will have a bearing on the later games and how easy/difficult it is to establish relationships.

It can be tough.

I used Polar Bear mind tricks.

are divided between the survivors of each game. Around 80% of the games are ending in draws. This is not like normal Diplomacy. It's better to go for draws in the early games and then try for a solo in the later ones.

Overall the quality of the play is very high - no-one goes CD, everybody talks, and everyone can see what you're doing - so it's pretty difficult to set up a solo win. You need to think long term, for example that your ally you stabbed in Game One may wish to sort you out in Game Two or Three.

I haven't won a game yet, but it doesn't bother me.... I am still the best (league) player. :-)
