change email address

Its been a while since I played and I need to change my email address if I'm to keep my current username. The link sent to me to confirm the change takes me to a page that simply states:
"Access to this page denied for your account type."

Any ideas if its possible?

The Speaker

Since House Republicans are having a difficult time finding someone for them to elect as Speaker that actually wants the job, do you think we could get them to nominate someone from webDip? It could be a brilliant way to kickstart a political career, especially if we aren't Republican yet by some miracle actually make it there. Are there any willing among us?

Bugged Country Draw?

Hey guys,

One of our friends (http://www.webdiplomacy.net/profile.php?userID=62648&page-games=1#top), out of 6 normal diplomacy games (one in progress), has drawn Germany 6 out of 6 times. That has a 8.49 * 10^-6 chance of happening. It seems like his account is probably bugged somehow?

My preference is to play with the 1998 update of the 1972 tournament rules, but *without* the 2002 revisions that ruined the balance for anyone starting in England. However, if others want to play a different ruleset, I can be flexible.

We can recruit players at the same time as beginning the game (at least until someone is supported to Vienna, I think), so I'll start by nominating Marseilles. Traditionally considered to be a disadvantage, but I think people who've played before should probably let the new players take the better starting spots.

There was diplomacy in the latrine at Fort Voordorp (and gave photos to prove it) so I question the need for natural breaks.

So, just to make sure, we're playing the 1998 update of the 1972 tournament rules, but *without* the 2002 revisions, and *with* the Fort Voordorp addenda.

If Valis likes the Super variant so much, perhaps he should just start with Persia and enter once Vienna triggers. One thing though: if we're not adopting the 2002 set, how do we resolve the OpenDMZ conflicts?

So we have enough players to start - ghug, as the furthest from Ankara, do you want to kick us off?

New players are welcome to join the game at any time by starting their post with one of the challenge words.

I think we've got enough experienced players here to share adjudication - I'm happy for anyone who know the rules to adjudicate when turns are processed (but please, no self-adjudication).

I'd like to join as Svalbard, but I plan on NMRing every turn out of respect for the legendary Ankara Crescent champion C. Estes Kefauver, who perfected the strategy in his 1948 treatise "NMR to Ankara: Or, How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Move To Moscow South Coast", which, as we all know, was later adapted into the movie Midnight Cowboy and inspired an entire generation of AC players.

Game: I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass.

I took over this game for TruNinja when he went aowl. I think we are supposed to keep notes and make them available so other people can see how we actually thought about the other players and game progress.
