On 7 and 8 November 2015, the Netherlands Diplomacy Association (NDA) will organise the first Dutch Championship since 2009. The title is open to people of all nationalities, and there is no entrance fee. Beginners are welcome, but recommended to come to any of the other NDA games to get better acquainted to the game beforehand. Registration is required.
Venue / Accomodation
The tournament will take place in Café Oud Noord, on the Van der Pekstraat 83-85 in the North of Amsterdam. Amsterdam has a great deal of places for accommodation, but one notable possibility close to the tournament venue is the Clink Noord Hostel (http://www.clinkhostels.com/amsterdam/clinknoord/). AirBnB is also very suitable, as the venue is in a residential area with many suitable appartments.
Tournament Setup
The tournament follows a three-round setup. The first two round are played on Saturday, followed by a joint dinner on location. The last round is played on Sunday with a subsequent award ceremony and a lunch. On Saturday and Sunday, registration is 9:00-9:30, with games starting at 10:00 sharp. Players are encouraged to play all three rounds, but those playing fewer rounds are advised to come on Saturday morning. The winner is determined after three rounds following the Carnage scoring system.
Besides an NDA event, this will also be part of the EGP.
