I know this is a dick comment, but @Vashta thanks to your awesome ending I am just going to go ahead and say I win!!! lol, if I remember correctly my win condition was that I won once everyone else died. Since the only one still alive is the GM and GMs don't count, then I guess I met my wincon. No one said I needed to be alive :D
Maniac (344 D (B))

Sorry Guak - pretty sure The Doctor didn't die, just time travelled. If he did die he will regenerate soon enough. Town win.
Maniac (344 D (B))

Out of interest Vash was The Doctor the same one I called for on D1.
guak (3381 D)

@Maniac: Nah, he is dead. If he is not alive in my timeline then he must be dead.

So, one question. How come everyone in the god thread felt the last day was obvious? WD had managed to hide pretty well and even if I came out as mutant y2k was a more likely lizard. Also, how come everyone felt I needed to take a shot last night? If I killed pj then the town would had already lost and we would had been in the same kingmaker situation. I think holding the shot was definitely the right move.
Maniac (344 D (B))
18 Jul 14 UTC
@guak. Now I know you're mutant, why didn't you go along with PJ's list when you were second from bottom and therefore 'safe' from a lynch?
guak (3381 D)
18 Jul 14 UTC
@Maniac: because my response was clearly a test. If I had gone for it I would had risen in the scum list.

Fact is, pj was strongly townreading me so I felt pretty sure I would convince pj I was town on the last day. That is partly why I did not claim mutant. My problem was that when I reread to build a case on WD, I found more scumtells from y2k than from WD. Since y2k was clearly not even considering the possibility that WD was the last lizard I felt the coin flip was resolved for me. Even though my gut was telling me WD, my brain said I needed to go after y2k. Stupid brain.
Maniac (344 D (B))
18 Jul 14 UTC
I don't see how your response was clearly a test. If anything following the only confirmed town is the town thing to do.

I agree that not role claiming mutant increased your chances in the event that mafia was killed on last day.
guak (3381 D)
18 Jul 14 UTC
I would had switched to ILN had I been around the deadline. I just needed a dead townie that day and I was pretty sure both you and ILN fit the bill. Yet, I was not around so I could not switch my vote. I still had to protest your idea because it was the townie thing to do. Town should proactively scumhunt near the end game. if not you come off as scum like y2k did. if we agreed to follow your proposal that would had meant agreeing to stop scumhunting individually which would had raised suspicion against me. I think I remember pj strengthening his town read of me after I protested your system
pjmansfield99 (127 D)
18 Jul 14 UTC
Funny in the god thread! I know - horrific play from me at the end. I was totally convinced that WD was the mutant, even after a re-read. And in the end Guak's case against Y2K actually persuaded me against my own thoughts. I doubted myself on it - I also agree, in the end I would've been better to doc save Ghug and die myself but that's an easy hindsight pick, it wasn't obvious at the time.
ghug (5046 D (B))
18 Jul 14 UTC
Yeah, there's no way anyone would have saved me in your situation. Maybe claim, but definitely not just save me.

My question is how you knew I was gunning before you before I did.
pjmansfield99 (127 D)
18 Jul 14 UTC
I genuinely don't know, when I went back and looked I'd assumed that I'd changed it late after you'd made it obvious you were coming for me but it was before that. Must have been a Krellin psychic sense.

I don't want to trivalise the recent tragic events in Ukraine. But, using our skills as mafia players, how would we interpret these events.

1 A woman is scheduled to fly as cabin crew. She switches her shift at the last minute and the flight she was supposed to be on is never seen again.

2 The woman's husband (who works for the same airline) later switches his shift at the last minute and is onboard a plane that explodes over Ukraine.

Knowing only these facts would we say this is coincidence or conspiracy?

Chaqa (2730 D (B))

A man was in Hiroshima when the nuclear bomb was dropped. He lived and took the first train home to his family in... Nagasaki.

Coincidence or conspiracy?
guak (3381 D)
18 Jul 14 UTC
first one is a manipulated coincidence, second is a really crappy coincidence
ghug (5046 D (B))
18 Jul 14 UTC
Woman is scum. We won't know for sure whether she bused the husband until he flips, at which point we can draw connections to the rest of the family, but right now my top suspects are her and whoever authorized the switch.
bo_sox48 (4849 D Mod (G))
18 Jul 14 UTC
@Maniac ... Knowing those two facts alone, we can simply speculate. You should be trying to dig into their lives together, see if there's a reason for her to want him to blow up over Ukraine, see if they were falling apart, getting a divorce, something like that, see if there's money involved, some kind of pressure for her to do that. Until then, it's coincidence, but that doesn't mean it can't become conspiracy with evidence. Evidence requires digging up and serious searching for, which some players in this game are more apt at than others....
Squigs44 (191 D Mod)
18 Jul 14 UTC
That depends on whether the womens roleclaim was true or false. Has anyone counterclaimed?? And Bosox, I dont think that finding evidence that they were falling apart or getting a divorce will help, because the explosion could be WIFOM for all we know. I think that we are all getting tunnel vision on the women, and that we need to look at other people involved in the situation.
Maniac (344 D (B))
19 Jul 14 UTC
Just when I was starting to build a case against this couple more suspects come into the frame. Whilst my new suspects don't seem to have any connections to the airline two of the victims were related. One (on the the first flight) was the uncle of a woman on the second flight. More accurately step-uncle if there is such a term. In effect the guys sister had a step-daughter. At the moment I don't know if they ever met, but rest assured I won't leave any stone unturned.
ghug (5046 D (B))
19 Jul 14 UTC
I think you're too suspicious. Nobody's going to be stupid enough to make such an obvious play as that.
bo_sox48 (4849 D Mod (G))
19 Jul 14 UTC
And out of nowhere it turns out that the uncle wrote a check to Malaysia Airlines for $10,000,000,000,000,000 with the memo "kill me and my niece pl0x." Seems suspicious, but it could just be a coincidence.

What I've Been Saying About Gaza:
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/israel-iron-dome-could-prolong-195600244.html Main quote inside, but essentially--the Iron Dome, which has (thankfully) stopped hundreds of rocket attacks in just a few days now, has taken all pressure off Netanyahu to negotiate, while Hamas arguably stands to gain more from prolonging the conflict--ie, shooting rockets knowing they'll be intercepted and reprisals will come--than by making peace. So, settle in, boys and girls...

what is the average age of webdiplomacy players?
Is there a statistic? I want to know. In a game I felt I was playing with the stubbornness of a child. He/she wanted ALL his way. All the negotiation was "this is mine mine mine". He/she couldn't see the repercussions of a bad decision because he/she wanted the gratification of now.

Seriously, knowing the age of a person before starting a game or a negotiation can help a lot. Psychological speaking.

Lib Dems have gone early while Cameron is on the defensive after his re-shuffle. Because of the current coalition of Tories/Liberals there will be a new dynamic to the elections, also the rise of UKIP is a bit of an unknown factor.

Best free webdesign software
I'm very likely going to design another website, but unlike last time, this isn't for school or something, so I can use all the tools I want to make my job easier. What software would you recommend? There's quite a lot to choose from and I don't want to try them all, nor spend extra hours because I'm missing some very useful features...

BNP Paribas extorted by US government for $9 billion fine
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this.

US crushed French bank even though it violated no international, or bilateral law, simply because trade is done in dollars. This is abuse of power and signifies that the US no longer upholds a free trade system. It will use the fact that trade is done in dollars to destroy people even if they broke no law.
