Bump - looking at the A* leagues, any ideas? (beyond a single 7 player A* pool, and three A-league pools, probably seperate, but possibly mixed, and top two from each A pool getting promoted while bottom six from A* get demoted... I don't know how i feel about this structure, it is very extreme, but it may work very well)

There may be a problem having to do with points from the first game. There was a 4 way draw, but one person had 0 supply centers and was essentially defeated. I counted that as a 4 way draw, instead of a 3 way draw, because the website actually shows all 4 players being involved. Any other players didn't get any points. There is one supply center missing in the list, because Fortress Door had 1 but resigned. The final game isn't finished, but looks to be a 3 way draw...

Sorry, the sentence: "Any other players didn't get any points." isn't very clear. What I meant was: "Any players not listed had 0 ."

After League B3 Game 4 finished, mscott tallied up the standings in public press. This is what he came up with, which I assume is accurate. There are 7 players in this list and I was a replacement, so I guess the person I replaced is missing.

Can someone who is involved with running the B League games switch game gameID=104613 to a 25 hour phase length, instead of 36 hour?

League A never even started our 4th game.

You get promoted to the A league next season, and bragging rights.

I'm thinking of promoting the top 5 from A, and keeping the top two from A*. To make a single pool of 7 as the A* league, and then having three pools of 7 as the A group made up of the 12 demoted from A*.

Promote the top form each of B1, B2 and B3. And demote The bottom 3 from A (maybe that should be the bottom 6 from A, and promoting the top two from each of the B pools...) hmm.

This is based on a new format suggested by Draug, for a single 7 player pool for A* with six demoted each season. And three A-league pools of 7.

What do other people think?

I would consider keeping three from A* (no, I probably won't be one of them) and promoting the top 4 from A for this first go round. But 2 and 5 work too.

Sounds fine, but perhaps you should rename A* as Premier?

A* 4a is about to cancel without zachattack yet again. I siggest you gibe the rest of us 2 each and zachattack get struck from the leagues next season as disrespectful and unreliable.

I am leaning toward Draugnar's suggestion. Excepting that the league rules specify the punishment for CDing, so i will apply whatever they are, might even be more serious.

Hopefully they are. Maybe it should be a rule that you must have a certain proportion of sitters available for any approved tournament...

The old tournament didn't have this problem. I wonder if Ghostmaker has a list offorbidden tournament players, and we got some of those. I guess the other thing is that this tournament had more people playing in the higher leagues...and that used to be fewer and people that worked hard to get to those levels. So, when we had dropouts they were at the lower levels. I think the A and premier leagues didn't ever have Cds.

I did have the list which Ghost was using (or Alderain, actually) I think there was a problem with consistency of the TD in promoting games, which was entirely my fault (but I still think it was better than not trying)

The rules do provide for replacement by promotion from lower leagues, and allow for sitters and pauses, all of which minimize the issue. But also require intervention of the TD. So, sorry about that.

The new season will, i hope, have fewer CDs as the players will have had to earn their position rather than simply being promoted by of continuing players in top leagues.
Along with those who did CD in this season also being eliminated.
