56 games wasn't even the longest streak of Joe's career. He had a long streak in the old Pacific Coast Leauge. Easily the greatest contact hitter to ever play the game. He has the best strikeout to home run ratio in the history of the game 369 strikeouts to 361 homeruns, a 1.02 ration. Ted Williams is second with 1.36 ratio. Ruth had a 1.86 ration. Albert Pujols has a 1.54 ratio. Willie Mays 2.31. Barry Bonds 2.06.
Ted Williams spent 5 years of his career Prime training pilots and flying bomber missions in Korea, who knows what he would have accomplished otherwise
Best Baseball player of all time, unfortunately excluding the negro leagues which i ddon't know enough about is Babe Ruth. There has never been a better ball player and never will be a better ballplayer. He was among the premier pitchers of his time and among the greatest hitters of all time

And about Cy Young, his loss record is more unattainable than his win record

Did Ted Williams have the most distinguished military career of any ballplayer? Was he an ace? Didn't he fly piston engine fighters in WWII too? Wasn't there some backup catcher who was a James Bond type with the OSS during the WWII?
Moe Berg, and he was Jewish, booya, known as the smartest Ball player of all time. Williams wasn't an ace.

Joe banged out two singles, a double, reached on an interference call, scored three, and drove in one in a 3 for 3 day at the dish as the Yankees reached .500 again in a 12-2 win over the dismal St. Louis Browns. The streak now stood at four games.

Moe Berg was also the lead singer, songwriter, and guitar player of TPOH.

"I'm an adult nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww........."

Get over the hate, Clausojew.

It's ugly.
unlike Nickleback and their golden locks. The pride of America's lice like your self.

The Yankees lose to the lowly Browns 5-1. Joe bangs a double and gets a walk, but Denny Galehouse tosses a four hitter to put NY a game under .500 again.
The streak stands at five games.

Joe has a quiet day at the plate getting a single in five at bats. He did score a run and drive one in as the Yankees edge the lowly Browns 10-9 to get back to .500 after 34 games. The streak was now at six games and no one was even noticing much less watching with any expectations that something historic has already started.

Clausojew hates Joltin' Joe because he was Catholic.

He has hatred issues. Period.

Feuille-Fool lecturing others about hate. LOL.

The Yankees continue their hot hitting hosting the Tigers. Joe only managed a single in four at bats in the first nine innings, but when he came up to bat in bottom of the tenth with a chance to win the game and put the Yankees over .500 Joe came through.
The streak was now at seven games, and the Yankees had won back-to-back games.

Now I know sweet f a about Baseball, bein' a proper christian cricket & field hockey
(not ice ) & Aussie rules footy fan, but recognise Baseball as a great sport.

Y'all have been chit chattin' about Joe DiMaggio, Baseball player & his
"hitting streak" & I can only find one veil'd mention of Joe's hitting streak with
"his other set of bat'n balls" with Putin's mention of fluff

The sensational Marylyn Monroe for starters.

Joe was a giant of the Baseball game for more reasons than can be shown
with hitting statistics, i'd suggest

respectfully submitt'd

May 22, 1941 Joe gets a single in four trips and drives in a run to help push the Yankees into third place and two games over .500.
The streak is eight games.

The Yankees hosted the Red Sox as Joe's brother Dom robbed him of two potential grand slams. Joe got one hit and drove in two as the Sox and Bombers were tied 9-9 in a rain game.

The streak was at nine games.

Joe showed why he was the Yankee Clipper against the Red Sox.
The Yankkes were down 6-3 in the bottom of the 7th. Joe was 0 for 3.
He changed all that with a knock that drove in 2 runs and sparked a four-run comeback that saw New York win 7-6
The Yankees had won four in a row, were three games over .500.
The streak was 10 games.

May 25, 1941 36,000+ were in Yankee Stadium to see if the Bombers could sweep the Red Hose.
Joe had a single in four at bats and was disgusted the Yankees lost 10-3. He said nothing to the press after the game and headed home. The streak was at 11, but the streak meant nothing to Joe because it was all about winning. The streak was icing on the cake.
perhaps because an 11 game hitting streak is chump change.

After a travel day the Yankees were in the nation's capital for a series.
Dimaggio dominated the game getting four hits in five trips to the dish including a home run. He drove in three and scored three as the Yankees got back into the win column 10-8.
The Yankees were three games over .500 again and 5 1/2 out of first.
The streak was at 12 games, but all Joe and the Yankees wanted was a sweep of the Senators.

"Anonymous" in big pot games...
People can figure out who is who too easily using log-on status. Maybe log-on status should be eliminated, or made optional to the players.

How to spot a cheater
Hi, is there any way to spot someone with a double account, and if you do where can you report it?
Also, is there a way to search the forum, because i'm probably not the first one to ask this question.

Full Disclosure Game
This is a preliminary search to find players that would be interested in playing in a "model" game (or several) in which the game would be played normally but at the end, everyone submits their press to me and I would format it in an easy-to-read document so that everyone could see the press throughout the game and the map pics to show how everyone's press influenced the game. Not sure as to when it would start, but I'm checking for interest.

Once again, the ultimate contest of flamboyance and frippery makes a return. Who will win? Who will be sent home crying? Who will have the most outrageous costume? And for Australian viewers, will we ever get new, funny hosts?

Do I owe anyone else a game, other than redhouse1938?
Looks like I joined martinck1's Top 50 GR game two, so I might as well have a second game on the books. WTA, 48 hour phases, classic, full press, I'm thinking 114 point buy-in. If I owe you a game, please remind me, my memory is crap.
