In the World Diplomacy map, are the Panama Canal and Suez Canal functional?

Well, I'm Back...Again.
My sitter seemed to do a pretty good job, but it looks like I might screw all of that up.
Anyways, the past few seconds I've been on here, I've only realized how big of a douche each of you are. Once I finish my games...I'm pretty sure I'm not coming back.

Suggested Map
I'd like to suggest a map to add as an alternative to the Classic Diplomacy, the Ancient Mediterranean, or the Global map. I found it the same place the other two were found. It's called "Canton Diplomacy", and it takes place in Asia.

In an anonymous, no chat, wta game Austria and Italy coordinated all of their moves. Also 2 of the 7 teams didn't turn up. Is it possible to register as 4 players. I'm hazarding a guess that all 4 of the players are one and the same person. Any thoughts from any forum members, nobody likes cheats, it spoils the games and devalues the website. Is this a common occurrence?

France's play was the rock that started the avalanche. He did not deserve to be a part of the drawn. And he was not NECESSARY for the stalemate lines either. Even if England had gotten Por, Spain and Mars, there is still a stalemate line:
Sevas def Mos, Ukr and Gal def War, Tyr def Boh, Tus def Pied, Rome/Nap def Tyrr S, and Ion def Tunis.
We have all of the fleets necessary to make it work.

You lost 1000 D so what...points are here to be spent. Their purpose is to buy you in into high quality game and they done it, I am sure it was worth it.
I lost 1000 too. Oh well. Give up some more: gameID=78257

From Zultar: "I detect a hint of sarcasm. If you had good reasons, then please post the EoG. I would like to know." No sarcasm, but there's definitely some irony. And yes, France deserved to be in on the win, at least if we believe that actions that benefit the group should be rewarded. Re you being a rock, I was impressed that you didn't ever give even the appearance of wanting to stab me. That's solid play.
Mujus (1495 D(B))

I was a bit erratic, by accident one week (it was my first week back at school AND I was sick), and to provoke Germany another time. By tempting Germany to jump on me I hoped that Turkey would take note of the danger so that he wouldn't attack me from behind. As it turns out I doubt that was necessary.
Mujus (1495 D(B))
19 Jan 12 UTC
Thanks, Genghis, but most of it was just luck in how the game unfolded, and part of it was Turkey's long-term viewpoint. I was very impressed by the Turkish strategy, and glad that I was in position to benefit from it--mostly just by being Austria. The only real danger I had to face was the initial Russian attack, but he was soon being attacked from three sides, so I don't deserve credit for that either. Still, I'll take the experience (and the points).
Mujus (1495 D(B))

France, the fact that you deserved better didn't outweigh the collective greed of your former allies.
Mujus (1495 D(B))
19 Jan 12 UTC
My favorite thing about this game was that Turkey and Austria were able to ally and stick together to the draw. That's a bit unusual.
zultar (4180 DMod(P))
19 Jan 12 UTC
I actually find AT or IT to be very good alliances. RT, the Jugger, is too predictable, especially in the beginning of the game.

@Muju, thank you for the compliments. If an ally stabs you in that kind of situation, he/she would be an idiot because it's very unlikely that he would get to 18 first before England would, and England was thoroughly efficient in this game. Well, he could have just supported me into Portugal instead of Bel being convoyed into there.
Mujus (1495 D(B))
19 Jan 12 UTC
Yeah, the greedy-guts!!! lol I pushed myself into Spain so that I could break the stalemate in case the two of you had too much testosterone flowing to break the logjam, and then I attacked Gascony just for style points. lol
zultar (4180 DMod(P))
19 Jan 12 UTC
Yeah, just so you know, that little move was just one more thing that made me want to stab the hell out of you to give England the win. If you've been playing erratically, doing things for style points does not inspire confidence.
Mujus (1495 D(B))
19 Jan 12 UTC
I was imprecise. It wasn't exactly style points--It was to show you that England was still my enemy, and not you. And who knows, stranger things have happened, and I might have gotten into Gascony. So tell me more about your feelings throughout the game, because your moves were rock-steady.

Tactical Sim
I think it would be a really great feature to be able to run a tactical simulation - set up the board however you want, enter moves for multiple countries and see them adjudicated. Basically to have the option of playing against yourself on your own board. I think it would be really useful, both for new players getting the hang of basic tactics and for veterans who want to see how various strategies play out over multiple rounds. What say you, webDiplomacy?
