Gunning for the Gunboat-3 Discussion
I don't think Turkey understands that this is a WTA game.
He gets nothing for letting Russia wins.
And I played poorly as Italy. I tried to stop the Jugger but France kept attacking me and not sending a fleet to safeguard the Ionian.

Why No in-game messaging?
Isn't the main purpose of "Diplomacy" communications? Why are there lots of games that specify No in-game messaging? Just curious. Unless the game is anonymous, I would be worried about lots of private communications.

The NHL Season Ends: Boston Gets the Cup, But Vancouver Gets the Riots!

A terrific end to Tim Thomas and the Boston's terrific season...

Aaaaaand Vancouver isn't taking it too well...if I were Luongo, I'd look out! ;)
obiwanobiwan (248 D)

Normally its the WINNING city that riots...yeesh...

and here I was thinking Canadian fans might be nicer and kinder compared to their American and European counterparts... :p

But a great series, one to remember, and Tim Thomas really did deserve the Conn Smythe.

Glad Vancouver lost--knocking Horton out like that in Game 3, poor form.

A little surprised the Sedin Twins didn't show up more, and can't believe the guy who was in net as Canada won the 2010 Gold in...Vancouver was so streaky adn just downwright awful at times in the series...but then, if you recall this is the same guy who DID give up the game-tying goal to Parise with 23 seconds left in THAT game to force overtime...well, he's not exactly Martin Brodeur, is he. ;)

I'd be rioting too if the 40 years my team had been around they'd never held the cup. Then again, the Leafs have been dry for longer.

Word after the olympics was that Luongo has some serious health/family problems going on, plus he's so good at beating himself up if he gives the game's first goal.

I don't really care about the hit on Horton, I've seen much worse.
obiwanobiwan (248 D)
16 Jun 11 UTC
There've been far worse hits, yes, but Roma's hit just seemed unecessary, adn that's always a terrible corrolary with a hard hit; if it's clean (or even dirty) and for a purpose in the game, then it might be more accepted...

If you're just being an enforcer for no reason...less so...

And really, as that was arguably the turning point of the series--the Bruins really seemed a lot more fired up and agressive after that--it really backfired.

Luongo might get called the goat of this series, and rightfully so.

But Roma has his share of the blame.

And...

How does 40+ years justify setting stuff on fire and causing the potential for public and private property damage as well as personal harm?

On the bright side, thousands have volunteered to help clean up
http://www.thestar.com/sports/article/1009816--thousands-volunteer-online-to-clean-up-vancouver-s-riot-mess?bn=1

It makes me wonder what would happen if the Leafs made it to game 7 and lost...

As a Bruins fan, I'd say two things led to us winning, and the Canucks losing. First we had the vastly superior goalie in Tim Thomas and our physical play made the Sedins non-existent.

The identical spelling error, twice in the same post, is not a typo.

BTW, nice signature at the end of YOUR response. "Stupid Jew shit" would be more appropriate though.

I'm just trying to help.

I wonder whether the riots will affect Vancouver's lead in the world's most livable cities ranking :)

Still, Sedin Sisters showed nothing so Boston thankfully won!

@obi-heeb - Don't pout now.

I am merely suggesting that you kill your insipid online persona.

Your flesh and blood existence is a gift from Jesus Christ Almighty that must be nourished and preserved.

In accordance with the dictates of Our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, I pray that Our Lord will remove the hardness from your heart so that you may be converted to Christianity.

Amen.

Beginners guide to Gunboats?
So, I'm pretty intrigued by the idea of gunboats but I feel that there are a lot of nuances that are a little tough to pick up on the fly.
Anybody wanna give me a quick few points so I don't seem like an idiot on my first game?
