EOG Live Game
My first win with Italy. A really fun game with some crazy balkan play at the beginning, an unfortunate German CD at the end, but i welcome any comments. gameID=60886

This game should of been canceled but two of the last three did not cancel instead voted for draw..Anyways I never knew you could set up a draw line in the middle of Europe. But I did.

We should cancel or draw this game because Russia went CD and NMR and then Italy. It's completely unbalance.

Pakistan: GOP Paradise
Liberal Tripe or Poignant Obeservation from Nicholas Kristof: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/05/opinion/05kristof.html?_r=2&src=me&ref=general ?

I tend to think the latter, but then I've been wrong before. This also got me thinking about what countries/political systems American conservatives actually admire throughout the world. Anyone care to share a place that the GOP would point to as a desirable place as a result of policies and positions similar to their own.

Question for Communists
Given that, despite the pure ideology and human equality of your concept, the true nature of human beings seems to always fuck up the implementation....why do you still believe in Communism? I mean...REALLY...Cuba is about it for communism. Even China is embracing Capitalism. Do you really want Cuba to be the model for the world????

North Korea is best Korea!
It seems the folks who constantly recommend Putin to relocate to North Korea are gravely misunderstood in their intentions. They are not out of their arguments, they are simply following the Golden Rule.

Names, Faces, and Places
When I say I'm from an American from Los Angeles County, those that have never been there--what do you picture? When you think of an American, what comes to mind, Englishmen? And what comes to mind when players identify themselves as being from parts of the UK? From Europe? South America? Just curious how close we all are (or how hilariously-off our conceptions might be...) ;)

wta gunboat live! EOG
Inside.

I don't really know where to start. This should have been drawn forever ago. Or Austria should have been eliminated.

Germany: We never really got on the same page. Had I tapped Hel in A07 like I thought about, (And I don't know why I didn't) I think this would have been a two way draw between Turkey and I. You had some great moves against Turkey, but your removal of a draw vote almost cost us the game, imo.

Turkey: Why did you never stab Austria? We could have easily made this a three way draw, and Austria never really did anything but ride your coattails. He didn't deserve it.

Italy: Good war we had there for awhile.

England/Russia: What the heck were you doing? I've never seen such strange moves.

A few more thoughts:

I wanted to unvote draw once we set up a stalemate (And I'm not sure if we did) so that Turkey would have to eliminate Austria. That may have been a cause of some miscommunication, I'm not sure.

Lol. I was going to stab very soon. I wanted to get a little bit past the stalemate line. I knew either me or Austria were going to do it. and we had Munich and Marseilles but I wanted a little bit more.

I don't get why Austria played your pet the whole game. That was just stupid.
Riphen (198 D)

Not really if I had stabbed him either you or Germany could of grown pass the stalemate line and have a chance to win. I did not want to risk it.

I wouldn't have let him... And you had me stalemated. You should have stabbed in '10, when Germany and I were sitll fighting, though.
France: I was worried your cut of ruhr earlier in the game, which cost me munich, would cost me the game. I figured Turkey could win from there, especially once they were in Berlin. I'm not sure that if you cut hel in 07 is would have been a 2-way, either. could have been, but with the alliance that was there, and turkeys closer position to the big stalemate line, it would have been tough for you. I think from then on, despite our stabs back and forth, we needed each other. Anyhow, good game. Very interesting.

Turkey: Same question as above, why not stab? I saw all the same things as smiles did.

Russia: So aggressive on me at the bat. Really had rattled.

AH: i moved to Tyr in 01 i tried to make that a signal for alliance. i even ordered supports to you in fall. wish you had worked with me.

Got my years mixed up. 08 or 09.

You never should really have a 4 way draw, in my opinion. You can almost always safely eliminate one power. Because if one power comes close to soloing, the other two can just gang up on him very easily...
I don't know if i agree with that. not always can someone be cut safely. in this game, sure, austria could have been.

So, I just drew a game, but I really think it was a bad decision. Germany and England pretty much said that they would attack me all-out unless I voted draw. Is this metagaming?
