Nice. I might hop on in a week or so if I remember. I'm in another server right now and want to continue somewhat with real life. Minecraft is glorious.

I thought the same thing. But its not too pricey and I've already spent probably close to 12 hours playing it. Plus, this is just the beta. the 15 euro gets you the beta and the game when it comes out for realz.

My son keeps up on minecraft more than me, so I'm going off what he said.

He told me that for anyone that had bought it up to some point, they would indeed get the full game once it was past beta, but anyone buying it after that point would not. I.e. he wasn't going to change the deal for those that had already bought it, but was changing what deal was available for anyone new.

I know that if you bought it in alpha, you get free updates. Don't know if that's true of Beta.

@Alderian: If you bought the game in alpha, you get the full games and all updates for free. If you bought the game in beta (which is now) you get the game but not neccessarily the updates for free once the game is released.

Yes, I'm actually aware of this; however, it is a children's game and more importantly, for a game with LEGO in the title, it is disappointingly not free-form. MC is a truly 100% sandcastle game.

Basically, you can build as much as you've mined. However, we do start you off with Iron tools, so you don't have to waste your time hunting for iron with wooden tools. Also, there are enough people on the server that you can often ask for supplies and make trades. For instance, I now have a chest of cobblestone that I don't really need that I'd be happy to trade to people.

Yes, I believe it's possible, but I don't expect to try and do it any time soon.

However, what I do expect to do is set up inter-server warping. It's like /tp but between servers. That's currently high on the to-do list.

I know exactly how you feel. For the past month, my friends and I have been playing on a friend's friend's server. We built an enormous castle carved out of a mountain side and then cleared land to make a full scale model of the Colosseum. (500x500 I think). Then, they broke the server and had to start over.

Then, we remade a castle and had started on a full scale model of the Brooklyn Bridge. Well, guess what, the broke the server again.

So, this is the 3rd time we've restarted. We're now on Egypt. So, I know how it feels to rebuild. : )

Plus, we have some really hard-core vanilla players on are server. They get pissed when I give out iron tools. I don't want to know what they'd do if I imported a *city* : )
