(just wanted to let you know that I'd seen this thread and will answer)

It's a league run by TheGhostmaker (one of the mods) that has a number of levels to climb to reach the top (Premiere, A, B, C, and D). At each level, there are a different number of individual leagues of seven players. Premiere and A leagues each have one league of 7. B has two leagues, C three, and D four (sometimes 5, depending on demand). Win you league and you move up to the next level, lose and you move down. And, it isn't just the one winner and the one loser (as that wouldn't mathematically work), but a number of losers move down and, in some cases, best of the second place winners move up.

Draugnar's description is broadly accurate. The D-level leagues act as a kind of filter to weed out the dedicated players: it is rare that there are few enough withdrawals that someone has to stay down in D-level having played through a season.

What this does allow is for C level and up to be good, dedicated leagues on the whole, with people continuing until the end of the season.

Email Ghost and express interest. The emial to use for the leagues is on his profile. He'll add you to the waiting list and, should enough people drop out of the D Leagues this go round, you'll get to jump in as a filler. If not, then you'll be on the list to fill the inevitable holes for next season.
