Can someone help me figure out what happened here?
In a recent game I tried to pull of a move that required me to move out of Rumania to attack Sevastopol while moving my army from Bulgaria into Rumania again, I assumed Galicia would attack Rumania so I had my ally attack him to keep his move canceled. My army got stuck in Bulgaria however.

That's all a bit convoluted, the gameID=20630 if you could just check it out and tell me what happened so I don't make the same mistake again. Thanks!

Answer the question and then post a new one,
In the United States which States are the northernmost, easternmost, westernmost, and southernmost respectivel?
Emerson (108 D)
07 Feb 10 UTC
Alaska is north, Hawaii is west, and south...and Maine is east
Draugnar (0 DX)
07 Feb 10 UTC
Actually Alaska is westernmost as well. In fact, part of the Aleutian Islands are past the 180th parallel also making it technically the easternmost.
denis (864 D)

Name the five members of Pink Floyd.
denis (864 D)

+1 Draugnar, Emerson just got face palmed
Draugnar (0 DX)
07 Feb 10 UTC
Simple Google search. No need to plus me. And I only checked cause I knew Hawaii wasn't technically as far west as the Aleutians. On a flat map, the distorition makes it look that way untill you look at the parallels.
jimgov (219 D(B))
07 Feb 10 UTC
You mean the original members? Waters, Gilmore, Mason, Wright, and Barrett are the mostly known 5, but Gilmore replaced Barrett. There was also another guy, but I don't remember his name.
jimgov (219 D(B))
07 Feb 10 UTC
What did Mike Nesmith's, of The Monkeys, mother invent?
Yes Draugnar,

It's Alaska, Alaska, Alaska and Hawaii
SunZi (1275 D)
07 Feb 10 UTC
Mike Nesmith's mother invented liquid paper.

Excluding humans, which mammal kills the most people in Africa every year?
TheGhostmaker (1545 D)
07 Feb 10 UTC
Its got to be one of elephant, lion and buffalo. Since elephant is split into two distinct species and lion is too obvious, I'm going for buffalo.

How long ago did the mutation for blond hair in humans occur?
Maniac (189 D(B))
07 Feb 10 UTC
Whilst the science behind carbon dating and such like associated with acurately dating such things as mutations of hair colour I've narrowed it down to between 2nd May 43569 BCE and 27th Feb 41756 BCE - I'd need a bit longer to be more accurate.

Complete this sequence .....R Y G B B P

Don't forget the Hippo. I know it is right up there if it isn't at the top.
Maniac (189 D(B))
07 Feb 10 UTC
Oh - Mike Nesmiths mum invented Tipax.
I'd say rats kill more people in africa than either buffalos, lions or tigers, although indirectly.
RYGBBPB - Red, Yellow, Green, Brown, Blue, Pink and Black. The sequence of the last 7 balls potted in a game of snooker.

Which is the lowest whole number, when spelt out, is in correct alphabetical order?
spyman (424 D(G))
07 Feb 10 UTC
Australia is a continent. If continents count as Islands then Eurasia-Africa is the largest island.
TheDeacon (100 D)
07 Feb 10 UTC
I was taught that Eurasia-Africa didn't count because it was multiple continental shelves. I also don't think Australia counts because it's a continent and therefore not an Island.

While writing the question I was under the impression Greenland was correct.
LOL, what a train wreck this thread is. With the movie quotes thread, its 'guess the answer, post your own', but when you guess, you are probably pretty sure you are correct. THis one, you can be perfectly wrong and post the next one anyway.

And there are some great quotes in this thread. On a trivia thread, you should see things like 'I was under the impression x was correct', 'It was something like', 'There was also another guy, but I don't remember his name. ', 'Its got to be one of elephant, lion and buffalo', 'The sequence of the last 7 balls potted in a game of snooker. ' [snooker, seriously? a game some backwards European 3rd rate nation plays? :)

@ spyman - Tarquinius Superbus?
@DbJ - what you mean is you're pissed 'cos you didn't get the answer to the RYGBBP sequence yourself. Don't feel so bad, I didn't get it either; my wife did(!) and she doesn't even like snooker.
figlesquidge (2131 D)
07 Feb 10 UTC
Can I point out that snooker is dominated by British & Chinese competitors.
Now, even after the recession I would find it hard to call the UK a 3rd rate European nation, and china is neither 3rd rate nor European :P
Anyway, moving on:
What is the approximate weight of a rich tea biscuit?

wydend (0 DX)

I figured we would just go off of the 100 unanswered questions. Anyways here is another: Who was the first person to invent the light bulb?
Edison.
Who won the Wing Bowl?
wydend (0 DX)
07 Feb 10 UTC
Actually Joseph Swan first invented the light bulb. Edison just improved it and made it practical. As for the Wing Bowl, I have no idea.
(I don't know who won the Wing Bowl either, but if people are going to ask about tea biscuits and snooker, I figure we should have some American trivia too.)

Hi, I switched computers and something weird is happening. When I log into my account on this particular computer the Deadline counter for my games are normal for a couple of seconds and then I get "Now" instead of the time to move. Any ideas if there is a setting or something I need to change?

Austria in a Live Game
I think that the diplomacy required for Austria in a live game is overkill. It is just too easy for Russia/Turkey to split it up without even thinking... definitely the worst nation in a live game. There is too much diplomacy needed and not enough will power from other players.
