Those are the types of games that prey on the stupidity of newcomers and the perpetual CDers. The "bullshit" rules of the other game at least show an attempt to have some sort of challenge involved, and of course the reward for a higher challenge would be larger.

This is why all the live-gamers are absol-fucking-lutely terrible at regular press diplomacy. They have no clue what to do when all six opponents are typing at their keys.

I know your game was/is gunboat. Most of these new players (Iceray0) that join games like the one linked above lack the mental capacity to type coherent messages at 5minutes/phase, so it ends up being gunboat anyway.

We've got all these players that play live games all day and win a few a week thanks to idiots or NMRs, and then they think they're good. Then you put them in a real game and they fucking suck.

I've gotten close to winning three times actually which for someone just starting out like I am is pretty cool, I pulled a survival (and have more then survived everything since) on my 7th game. Regardless of how many I've won or lost I enjoy live games much more then any other games. So I will be playing live games quite a bit.
