Problem with pluraserver ad loading

Strategy

Okay say you are turkey. You've tried to gain an alliance with russia but get no response. Austria snubs you as well. Obviously you're screwed because they're coming after you. What can you do, or is it just a lost cause?

World Map Diplomacy Variation?

Why are all CivilDisorderAustria 's replaced by the name CivilDisorderGermany? Is there some logic behind or is it just a bug.

Neutrals Variant

I was looking at the map, and noticed that the Scandinavian countries add up to what would be a full playable country. The Balkans would be equal to Russia. What would a game look like if these new countries were added, maybe even with a Belgium-Holland and Spain-Portugal-perhaps Tunis thrown in as well?

Duplicate Account Abuser

Appologies if this is not the place for it... but I have encountered a pretty obvious duplicate account abuse.

In game 6602 (fast and easy), someone (kaiserx44) created a new account and joined in as Italy. If you take a look at the game, it's pretty obvious that Italy is going to die off on their next turn. I really can't imagine any sane person joining this game under those circumstances.

The only explanation that I can come up with is that France (maxgray) created this account in order to use Italy's fleet to support move himself into Tunis.

Obviously there's no way for me to prove this, but is there a way that they can track where an account logs in from? If France and Italy are logging in from the same place, then this would be an open and shut case of account fraud.

i have seen it a couple of times when new people to the site have joined a cd country about to go under as they are not 100% sure what they are doing

I'm not sure. I was in a game where a single CD country was taken over 5 times. Each time it was a new player who never entered a move, never joined any other game and promptly went CD again. I'd like to believe that it was random coincidence as all of the other players were relatively established, respected members. But it's hard when the takeovers so obviously benefited specific other countries.

There seem to be good reasons for joining CD countries with one or zero centres. It costs very few or zero points. You can find out how the interface works, i.e. observe a game and press. If you happen to take over for someone who is in a game you are playing then you can get some assessment of his reliability. Also it is likely to add a defeat to your statistics and it pays to play dumb at times. Someone told me that this is multigaming. I don't really get it or why it is wrong.

my first game was taking over a CD. not in horrible states but still down on its luck and needing a pick up. it was because id joined, dying to try the game and no new games available, not sure what i was doing and then ok when i will try this .

I've got a game where a new player took over a CD power during the fall retreat phase where no SC's were still under control (all lost in the fall turn) and the only unit was a ship at sea. I don't think you can assume a dying position was taken over in bad faith no matter how silly the position looks.
