Ally with England as trim wisely posted and with Germany if possible but most of all fight like a bulldog. Turkey has a good defensive position and if you can hold them off for long enough one of the allies might stab the other if he overstretches himself.

First you have to verify that the silence is directed at you. Manytimes people on the PBeM circuit are silent because they are not playing. So write to the other countries to find out if they have had any correspondence from either of them. Sometimes a Global blast will shake things up as people will smell blood in the water with potential NMR ((no moves received)) and that alone will be enough to draw them out.
Check out the player's other games in the web site and see if they are active. Check the time they were last on site.

Second,
if they silence is intentional, start a back draft, back field attack,
you want England and Germany to go after Russia in the north and for Germany to stand the Russians out of Sweden while England lands an army in Norway. You want the Italians to open against the Austrians with moves directly to Tyrolia and Venice or maybe go Venice to Trieste and Rome to Venice. You want the French to play passive so that England and Germany are free to kill the Russians.

Third,
you can shift your correspondence with the emphasis not on great plans, but on communication and maybe ask some non game question or funny ones like
"The Italians say you hate pizza, is it true?"
"The Russians mentioned that they thought you were writting too much in the Forum to get moves in. Is that true?"

Not sure there's much to add to that. Look at the whole board - England are allies for you against Russia, as is Germany. If Italy is in CD, try and hold out until the new player comes in and then write to him like mad!

Mostly, the plan to have France go after Germany is to get the germans and austrians to weaken each other, then have france clean it up, and once thats done, and france is overstretched, you attack france.

Except France is overstretched in your direction... leaving the spoils for England or perhaps a sneaky Italy... not little old Turkey.

Unless you CD, get taken over, and then take over the CD Italy!! D:

in my humble opinion it is perfectely fine to say whatever you want about any game, any amount o the time. (ok, technically there should be no negotiating during the retreats phase, but i think that is just to speed face-to-face games along)

honestly, i can't see any problem asking for help with an on-going game in either a public or private capacity.

that said, hang on, you can pull amazing things out if you really try.
Turkey is in a very defendable position on the edge of the board, and while it sucks to enter 1904 with only 3 supply centres, so long as your enemies haven't quite finished you off they need to expend a lot of effort doing so, leaving them more vunerable.

You should just fight back as hard as you can and try to get other countries to help your cause. If they're gonna take you down, make it as hard as possible. Prove to them that you're not a wimpy quitter. I'm not gonna lie to you, you're screwed. Go on the offensive and make it so they have to worry about protecting themselves instead of destroying you.

your best strategy was presented by Edi. negotiate, defend and be friendly. It works surprisingly well. I have gotten out of some really tough spots by playing up the negotiations and friendship.
